I don't begrudge him for any of the other stuff like taking coaches, saying the program was broken to Muschamp, lying to Elam, Easley, Floyd, etc., but going after Muschamp's recruits while you send someone to clear out your UF office is costing him all respect and honor held by the fans. With time it could have been easier and he could have been remembered as the coach who won 2 BCS rings for Florida. Now he is remembered as a total jerk.

The context of the tweet was regarding the decommit of Mike Davis from Florida tonight. I highly doubt it had any impact on the recent contact with Urban.
Either way, there is no way an OSU fan would be QQing about recruiting news lately. Urban is certainly making a splash.

What utopia are you living in? Recruiting is CUT THROAT. Until that player signs on the line, they are pretty much game. I remember a lot of whining when Urban called a recruit and said he had a dream about said recruit playing at Florida. That must have been a different utopia too, right?

^We are talking about who coaches are contacting. Not what they are selling. There are snake oil salesman in CFB like Rich Rod negative recruiters like Larry Johnson Sr (PSU) and people who show up with cash (Auburn). Then there is Urban who tells kids about his dreams... Whatever it takes I guess. Again nothing wrong with asking a recruit if they are interested.

I thought it was extremely lame and I made fun of it but it was not dirty. All kids in high school are fair game and nothing is official until they sigh the dotted line.

Give me a break. Calling a recruit is one thing, and something that can probably be verified, although who even knows at that. What is said to a recruit? Who knows what is said unless you are on the other end of the line or listening in. And as someone said, that is when Urban was at FLA. I can admit, I didn't care for some of his antics or that he had quite a few players involved with the law. Its a concern of mine with him coming here. I have no issue admitting as much. It is what it is.

Urban Meyer is still a dirty scum bag. But I know for a fact that he won't be allowed to do anything of the illegal things that took place in the SEC at Ohio State. It's in his contract to maintain the highest ethics, something that is ignored in the SEC.
