ND Boards for years have accused Urbie of being a "poacher" meaning he continues to contact kids who have made verbals before National Signing Day. I see nothing wrong with this...17/18 yr old kids (and their mostly idiot parents) usually don't have the knowledge and experience to ask all the questions they need to ask before signing. So if someone comes along at the 11th hour and shows them something that makes better sence for them personally...why not change your mind while its still OK to do so?

Keep up the good work Urbie...keep stealing from the SEC and ND cupboards!

Exactly. And its not like he's hoodwinking kids with degrees that are completely worthless like those in the SEC(outside Vandy). It's Ohio State. These kids get a world class education and get to play for at a winning institution.

I'd be curious to see the talent he brought in at Utah and at BG.

Dodson visiting as well, I believe this weekend. There's alot of talk on Twitter that Dodson's commitment to Wisky, was basically out of spite for the OSU staff taking so long to offer. He commited to Wisky the same week OSU offered.

Yeah, for an OSU fan, it's still exciting as hell.

Just because you expected it doesn't mean it's not spectacular. It just means you expected his recruiting to be spectacular.

OSU and every other school will continue to recruit kids until they tell them stop. Always have and always will.

The big ten has rules on over signing it will not be an issue.

I normally don't like poaching but in this case urban wasn't coaching when these kids made their commitment so they probably didn't give osu a look.

When a verbal commitment is binding on the player (hence the word "commitment"), it should be binding on the schools as well. Until then, they are meaningless other than to confirm the main competition.

I'm not 100% sure how accurate this is. I would say about the same amount of ND fans complained about it that OSU fans did. ND boards were mostly pissed off at Willingham and Weis' recruiting strategy. Kelly and his staff have recruited kids until NSD if they show interest, if they are committed to other schools or not.

I'd guess you are just trolling ND on an OSU thread (?).

I definitely expected it from Meyer, just not this soon. That's why I think it's spectacular, especially with still looming NCAA violations.

Only on the OC is posting facts about a mediocre university considered trolling.

As the class of 2012 is unwinding, we need to start looking at the class of 2013. The next generation of high school football standouts.
Class of 2013Wide receiver
Robert Foster
Monaca (Pa.) Central Valley
STATS: 37 receptions for 584 yards and 12 touchdowns. One of the most dangerous special teams players in the nation.
Recruiting: Offers from Pittsburgh, Penn State, Ohio State among others.
The best part of being part of the scouting industry and living in a region with a talent pool like Western Pennsylvania is seeing players before most of the recruiting world has and watching as they become household names.
We first saw Monaca (Pa.) Central Valley wide receiver Robert Foster as a sophomore and you could tell that you were seeing the next big thing in the region. He gained more notoriety with a strong showing in the WPIAL Championship game and a lengthy playoff run. This season, as a junior he was no longer a secret.
When it came time to announce the first five-star prospects of this class we without hesitation had to include Foster on the list. Some folks who weren't familiar with him asked who he was, but now as his film has hit the internet people know why.
Thanks to Ayo Fapohunda who runs a video site called FinestPreps.com we were able to obtain the newest Robert Foster highlights. Ayo Fap as he is commonly referred to does highlights for kids for free to help them out and for a chance to have them seen.

are the newest clips of Central Valley (Pa.) five-star junior Robert Foster. As I have said on other boards I don't even know the words to use to describe it, so I'll let you folks be the judge of it yourselves..Enjoy

You delete the ok dad, smh post vball?

I don't care if he posts stuff that is behind the paywall or not, but I do believe he can have his account terminated. Paraphrasing is fine, but just copying and pasting from the site is beyond stupid.

And actually, I think justin can be held responsible for allowing that kind of post to stay up. Wouldn't want him getting another certified letter.

I paraphrased and only used some of the paywall insight as part of a larger post and got reamed for it.

Quint;952250 wrote:Most Recent Commitment: Ricquan Southward

Southward was committed to the University of Miami (FL), but switched his commitment after an official visit to OSU. The Buckeyes were the first team to offer Southward, who was an unknown because he had 4 players ahead of him who were division I prospects (Ben McRoy at Texas Tech, Jarred Haggins at FSU, Javares McRoy at UF, and Teddy Wright at UAB). Tom Loy, who has covered Southward’s recruitment for FlaVarsity.com, an affiliate of Rivals.com, compares Southward to Terrelle Owens and Dez Bryant, and thinks he is better than the 4 WR's that played ahead of him. The Ozone article I pulled this information from also mentions that he is a very well spoken kid who places importance on academics.

not. Its content that is premium. He can lose his account. Why are you here? You literally have zero to add the discussion.
