It depends, if they get the new coach in place this week and it is one of those two guys I would expect him to coach the bowl game. There are a ton of similarities in the systems of both Sumlin and Jones with what Kelly ran, the terminology is obviously different but the schemes and concepts are really similar. Mike Thomas has said that Jeff Quinn is the interim coach and will coach the bowl game. But if the new coach is on campus this week it makes no sense not to have him take it over for the bowl game. Sumlin and Jones both have bowl teams so they could end up splitting time between prepping for the bowls and recruiting for UC.

Sumlin has withdrawn from consideration after his interview, Quinn will interview fairly soon.

Butch Jones is interviewing today. Reports were that Holtz has already interviewed. Still in the mix, however, is OC Jeff Quinn and Mike Zimmer (yes the Bengals DC has interviewed for the job). I have seen at least one insider who has indicated a decision will be made by this Friday.

Is Cincinnati just going to start picking Central Michigan's coaches from now on to make the transition easier?

I feel Jones is a great pick and with his offense, Cincy won't miss a beat. Actually feel his O is more balanced than Kelly's.

Also, with Collaros and Lafevour having similar QB styles, I feel that Zach will flourish uner Jones's system.

It is a factor for consideration, the transition period and it's complexity always plays a part in the mind of a good AD. But of the people who were in serious consideration for the job Jones had by far the best resume
