I thought I heard it was actually the union that suggested that?

PTI said it was Cuban who suggested it.

That would be the start of the ruin of the NBA IMO.

Those owners offer a bunch of money, they never intend to pay. Many teams simply hold funds if they arent making enough.
What is Europe some third world country without contract laws?

The majority of them won't. Guys not named Kobe, Bron, Melo etc.. won't have that option. The players will cave before the owners do.

He means they say "Kobe, we'll pay you $20 million a year"

Then when he expresses interest, they actually don't pay $20 million...more like $5 million.

Word is the NBA owners grabbed a bootstrap today. We got a shot at a deal and the return of NBA hoops. #notsarcasm

What? They offered him $1 million for one game because they were desperate to get him to agree to something. The offer for the entire season would have been like 5 million.

The players will cave, book it.

I saw Stephen A Smith say he thinks there's a 60% chance a deal gets done in the next week. I have no idea what sources he has in the league, because I've never paid attention to anything he's said before, so maybe it was just a meaningless opinion.

Not a Stephen A. fan, but he was the first to call Lebron to Miami. So perhaps he really is connected.

Didn't Kobe try and get rid of his whole team around 05-06ish when they had Smush Parker and Luke Walton starting?

No he wanted to be traded, but lol at you defending lebron again and still not admitting you are a lebron or heat fan.

Did Kobe have players the caliber of Bosh & Wade playing with him those years? Yeah, I thought so. Bron Bron just ISN'T good enough.

He wanted Bynum traded along with several others first, but I'm just saying this shouldn't be acceptable for one star but not for another. Lebron and the Heat don't need either of those players, they have/had all the pieces they need to win a title, just can't choke away 4th quarters. I already stated I was a Lebron fan, I think he is the best in the world hands down. I don't have a favorite team though as I am a fan of the game and try and watch all teams.

Has Kobe won a title without the best post players in basketball with him? Goes both ways man.

I frankly can't stand Kobe but he's not trying to surround himself with All-Stars at EVERY position. Just goes to show that LBJ doesn't have the sack to get it done and he needs to deflect to other, more CLUTCH, players to get him that ever elusive ring.
