Anyone ever drag a deer? If so what's the best part to drag it by? there is a dead one in my back yard and the city said if it's on the street they'll pick it up, so tonight i'm going to put it on the road. So, should i grab the legs or the head? front legs or back? Also, any chance the limbs fall off while being dragged?

I personally wouldn't leave it in the middle of the road, just for safety reasons. Someone could be driving along and not paying attention I guess and it might somehow cause an accident. I'm pretty sure there probably isn't a law written on the legality issues of dragging a deer from your yard to the road.

I mean, they said they would pick it up if it's in the road, just following directions. I'm pretty sure someone hit the thing and it wandered to my lawn to die.

I would call the game warden if it's still alive. (My first thought was shoot it and put it out of it's misery, but that might get you in trouble.)

Put it in the middle of the road but don't worry if you cause an accident no punishment until after football.

Also, has anyone every dragged a dear? What kind of weight are we talking about here? I think it's a doe. My roommate saw it but wasn't sure.
