Yes.
Of course, I'd like to think that "a lot" of the folks who listen to Rush aren't necessarily true believers.

Like all these guys, Rush makes a lot of salient points. I just have less faith than you that the largely ignorant fan bases are able to distinguish what has merit from what is meant to inflame and drive ratings. Rather than educate or correct misguided views held by their audience, they tend to just lead giant circle jerks.stlouiedipalma;945134 wrote:Yes.

The problem I have with Limbaugh....he is much more than a hypocrite...he is an out and out liar. It's one thing to shade the truth as most talk people do...it's another on being a habitual liar.gut;945158 wrote:Like all these guys, Rush makes a lot of salient points. He calls these people a "human collection of human debris". Really? This country is founded on a principle of being able to demonstrate peacefully. What this country was not founded on is for people to draft dodge when conscription is the law of the land.
If I were to collect a group of people that fall into the category of "human debris", Limbaugh would be one of the first on my pile.

Jim Jones had a high percentage of followers too. People who parrot the fatman on the AM dial have absolutely no ability to critically think nor investigate any issue on their own, and need to be told what to believe.gut;945130 wrote:Then does that make Limbaugh more relevant and accurate because of his 20M listeners?
As a professional salesman for 3 decades, I love these types. Self obedient lemmings. You know, there was a lot of merit to what Germany's Goebbels had to say during the Neurenberg Trials

ok, sorry, depending on the month, he has been flip flopping with Leno. Heck, i was reading even Colbert has more viewers than Conan."The Daily Show's" 1.344 million P18-49 viewers led all late night talk shows in
the demo for the month and, with a 2011 YTD average of 1.25 million P18-49
viewers, "The Daily Show" trails only "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (1.27 million P18-49
viewers) in the benchmark demographic for the calendar year crown.

Not that I endorse a blanket characterization of the WSO people, and I'm not exactly a huge fan of much of what the Tea Party pushes sometimes, but do you have one little shred of support for this statement?Bigdogg;945985 wrote:Which is much better than washing their bed sheets for their next klan meeting like many of the tea baggers.
I mean, there is photographic evidence of some of the occupiers smoking what looks like wacky tobacky. Is there any such validation for your claim above?

None other than attending a tea party rally and knowing a couple of self professed members personally. I have not been to a so called wall street rally personaly but if either want to partake with the weed it is fine with me. I know lots of oustanding professional people who do or have. Do you think this somehow dismishes their cause? why is this even a topic on here? I dont remember this being such a big deal with the tea baggers. There are idiots in every group of people. Some are moderators on hereO-Trap;945994 wrote:Not that I endorse a blanket characterization of the WSO people, and I'm not exactly a huge fan of much of what the Tea Party pushes sometimes, but do you have one little shred of support for this statement?

I suppose I don't disagree with anything here, though the "breaking the law" of smoking a J could hurt a person's credibility (even if I disagree with non-violent crimes being crimes, let alone punishable by imprisonment).Bigdogg;946024 wrote:None other than attending a tea party rally and knowing a couple of self professed members personally. The part here I find disturbing is when people go to help someone who has fallen down or injured themselves. And the damn police think it's a great idea to throw flashbangs into the crowd. Abhorrent.

Lol, "self professed" makes it seem like the Tea Party is some negative thing. Like a self professed alcoholic or something. Nothing wrong with agreeing with Tea Party ideals, speaking about the economic ones here not the ones that have been tacked on since the start. I don't agree with all of them but people noticing there is a problem is a large part of the battle.

I cannot wait for this thing to end honestly. I appreicate the effort in trying to end Corporate Bail Outs and Crooked politicians but if these are the kind of ideas that are seriously being discussed then the 99% can GTFO
Also if you are complaining about being $60,000 in debt or higher, Go to a State School. Go to a community college for a couple years then finish out. Not really that difficult. If I had to do it over again, I would have went to the Regional OSU branch in mansfield for my first two years then went to OSU to finish out my last two.
Not to mention just because you have a degree doesn't mean you should be guaranteed a job. If you suck at interviewing or do not have the required skills necessary why should a company hire you over someone who does have the skills necessary to do the job.
