This might be the next sticking point. With Matta this is a priority.

"What he’s been doing (at home) in his workouts and that sort of thing, the chairs and orange cones you’re driving around now have arms and feet and they can move. So it’s going to take him a little bit of time. But hopefully over the course (of the season), we can get him back and ready to go."
I still don't think it will take that long. It's not like he's been playing against chairs and orange cones his whole life. It's still basketball, and as soon as he has the terminology down, he'll be on the court.

Exactly. Many of these recruits, have no clue how to play defense, let alone vs big time talent.

Non qualifiers usually are able to get on the court the 2nd year they are at the school.

Xavier recruits a lot of these morons. They can't even add up 2+2 on their fingers but man can they shoot a basketball.

As far as the not offering talk, don't most schools offer way before this information would be official anyway? In the situations I am familiar with, appeals and stuff to the NCAA were still going on up until October for basketball players. Anybody that claims there schools don't do it is a liar. Notre Dame might get away without ever recruiting a kid like that simply because he doesn't qualify to get into ND. And the football coaches are probably more upset about that fact than proud of it.
