Steelers will need to turn things around -- and fast -- if they're going to beat a potent Houston squad on the road.

I was hoping Houston beat New Orleans so they weren't coming off a loss. That was a back and forth contest. Obviously Drew Brees and company had success passing against the Texans but can the Steelers protect Ben enough to make some plays in the passing game to keep up with the Texans offense?

Flozell was probably right to hold out for more money. They'll probably give it to him now out of desperation.

Heard some talk that they might not have the cap room to sign him if he's sticking to his previous asking price.

They probably will need to avoid those "three turnovers in 1 minute" issues like they had last night if they want to beat Houston. Just a hunch.

Another issue, besides the offensive line, is the run defense.

It's not looking as reliable as usual. Maybe even some guys like Hampton and Smith are showing some decline on the defensive front.

Lifelong Steeler fan that happens to be a Texan's season ticket holder.

I am not happy this week, but I can say that if the Steelers want to win, they better be able to stuff the run. The Steelers need to get the ball to Hines Ward. More than likely, Joseph will be on Wallace due to his speed. That leaves Karim Jackson covering Ward. Jackson might be the worst DB in the league.

A side note to LeBeau and other Def. Coordinators...cover #80. I can't believe how open he is most of the time. The offense can flat out move the ball, however, Schaub is a statue. A statue with a running game, a game changing WR, a reliable TE and a FB that can outrun LBs.

Should be a good game, I think the Texans need the win more, due to their upcoming schedule. But, I have never cheered against the Steelers, and I don't see it happening now.

Only thing worse would be if the Steelers win the Wild Card and have to visit Houston for a playoff game....I will be utterly miserable. Miserable at a playoff game...but miserable all the same.

How about their defense getting some turnovers, I have their D in fantasy and they have 1 turnover in 3 games. Pretty bad considering 2 of their games were gimmies.

I think the steelers are in a transition period. Ward is pretty much done. Miller is a very good catching TE but the steelers dont traditionally feature a TE in the attack. Wallace has speed and needs to also be able to catch shorter passes so they come up to press him more. Then ya have some other younger guys.

Are they a passing team? A running team? The identity is a little lost right now on the offensive side of the ball.

On defense they have some lapses. TO's usually come in bunches. SMART teams throw alot of quick routes against the steelers on first down, and then work in the run when they go to the nickel/dime packages. It is when they go away from that gameplan that the steelers defense starts to dominate.

Texans are tough this year. Pittsburgh, playing like they have to start the year will get rolled. I dont think that happens, but I still see them losing. Ill say 27-17

To me James Farrior looks like being undersized and old has caught up with him.

Is Woodley expected to return after missing the first 3 weeks?

That's pretty good! What I have noticed about Woodley is that he is pretty much just a pass rusher. He doesnt do much against the run, and it kind of reminds me of JP. Harrison has always been a more well rounded LB. I think Woodley has more of pass rushing role on the team and when he doesnt get sacks then it looks like he is invisible.

Mario Williams hurt his knee against New Orleans. When he reentered the game you could tell he was not as fast. If Mario is a step slow, this might help Pittsburgh. Of course Antonio Smith and JJ Watt are the beasts of that defensive line. The Pittsburgh O line needs to get healthy and get healthy quickly.

Like I said earlier, Hines Ward on Karim Jackson should decide this game in the fourth quarter.
