I heard they will probably have under 50k for home games other than Indy and Pitt. I'm disappointed but glad fans are smart enough to send Brown a message.

Lol yeah that's what it is...the fans don't show up because they're sending Brown a message!

Face it, you gave Browns fans shit for the team leaving, when the reality is the team that should have been moved out of Ohio was the Bengals.

Cleveland wouldn't build a stadium, Cincinnati did. It's really that simple.

Mikey is locked into the lease for another 15 or so years here, the only way to make him spend money is to not put cash in his pocket from ticket sales.

No it's not that simple. Cleveland sold out every game and Model still found a way to lose money. He was a crook, and will always remain the biggest piece of shit to step foot in Cleveland. Just admit you had absolutely no room to talk shit, and move on. It's too bad the bengals don't have Ochocinco buying tickets to save the fans from embarrassment.

Are you really still that butthurt that you can't look at it without getting emotionally involved? Modell was a businessman first just like Mike Brown.

The Browns still sell out because they are the cheapest ticket in the nfl. There is more money to be had in the Baltimore/DC area.

Wrong. Cleveland voted to build a stadium. Modell was butt hurt that they wouldn't allow him to run the concessions and things like he had at Cleveland Municipal. What he did was not business, he is a piece of shit. Oh and lawls at fans not showing up to their games. Ya'll are like a Florida professional team now.

No, Cleveland gave him the option of building a new stadium as part of the gateway complex or renovating the Muni. He opted for the Muni because he had completely control of the facility (on top of the fact the Indians were paying high rent to play there). When the Indians moved to the Jake he realized that Clevelanders wouldn't pay for the extremely high luxury boxes that no longer included Indians games. Add in the fact his stadium would then only be used a dozen or so times per year. Early into the 1995 season, he bailed on renegotiating with the city who couldn't understand why he went from wanting renovations and wanting a new stadium. Before the city had enough time to even change course to building a new stadium he was already signing a deal with Baltimore to move them there.

He never gave Cleveland a chance to match Baltimore's offer. Let alone the fact he told Cleveland he wanted the Muni renovated, then wanted a new stadium, and then moved the team before the city could even begin to plan to build a stadium for him.A

After all. The team left, the city overwhelmingly voted to build the stadium that year, but it was too late. The NFL agreed to put a team back in Cleveland by 1999 (when the new stadium was to have opened) and let us keep our name, colors and history.

All because Modell had no clue how to run a business.

bengals fans are the worst. There is a reason they were ranked dead LAST for pro teams. Shitty organization, and the worst fans.

Also, smh at dave. What a turd

Looks like some of you guys are desperately looking for something to brag about since we just beat your team last week. It's a tough pill to swallow when the Bengals beat you, right?

This doesn't have a lot to do with the fans. The Bengals, much to the dismay of the haters, have quality football fans. They aren't the Browns, but they aren't in the league of some of the real stinker fans of the NFL (Panthers, Jaguars, Cardinals, Titans, etc...). It's just really hard to back the owner...

So this only counts for an excuse when Indians fans do it? This is the same argument they use every year

It isn't an excuse for them and isn't for us either. Just saying that they do the same thing every spring and see no issue. Now when a Bengal fan does it, it is because the fan base sucks

Not really, just merely pointing out that bengals fans are jokes as stated, by a bengal's fan, in the thread title.

81 home games a year for the Indians.
8 home games a year for the Bengals.

Big difference moron

Hilarious how you hardly had one thing to say about the game, and now you are trying to talk shit. LOL, pretty indicative of how almost every bengals fan is. Did you even watch the game? I highly doubt it. Also the OP is a Bengals fan, nice fail idiot.

LMAO, of course jordo brings up another sport, he always does this, when he has nothing else to say. Even though this has nothing to do with the MLB, you can go ahead and say it isn't an excuse for Cleveland Indians fans. Fine good job little guy we will give that to you, so you can stop spinning the fact that bengals fans are pathetic. 8 home games vs 81 home games is a big difference, and it is completely a pathetic display by the biggest fair weather fans in the league, that they can't even sell out their first home game. Is it really that hard to prevent a black out for 8 games in the most popular league in this country? I guess for shitty fanbases such as cincy and every florida team it is. Can't wait to hear Jordo spin on this one. He will probably bring up something completely irrelevant such as college lacrosse to try to make up his point.

Jordo is the worst poster on this site. It would be hilarious to meet his "friends" in real life and see what they think of Jordo's sports "knowledge."

Exactly, he is just going to desperately grasp to the fact and talk about the Indians, when this has nothing to do with baseball.

He's just pointing out Cleveland fans do the same thing. With lbj caves sell out without him they will have terrible attendance if there's a season next year. Indians had their lowest attendance ever this year. Last year you could scalp a ticket for five bucks outside the stadium

This thread is about the bengals, who at 1-0, are already blacked out for a FUTURE week. It's that simple, cinci's owner and fans are the worst in professional sports

Um? You clearly didn't read my post. I said "getting back at Mike Brown" is not an excuse for blackouts or lack of attendance.
