Taken 2 was very disappointing. Thankfully, I have the Marcus Passport so it only cost me time.

Just saw the trailer for Great Gatsby, really disappointed. I'm skeptical of this film now.

I'm about to watch Midnight in Paris for the first time. Who has watched it? I've never really understood what the big deal is about Woody Allen plus the plot sounds boring so I'm skeptical but I'll give it a look.

I picked it up at Redbox randomly a while back. I was surprised at how much I liked it. I'm definitely not a literature/historical buff but it was a really cool concept for a movie and well done. I think it's one of those movies regardless of your typical preferences you can find some enjoyment in it.bigdaddy2003;1292027 wrote:I'm about to watch Midnight in Paris for the first time. I loved it, but Hemingway is my favorite author and I understood all of the details of the movie from a literary perspective. I'm not sure I would've thought it was anything more than good, otherwise.bigdaddy2003;1292027 wrote:I'm about to watch Midnight in Paris for the first time. Who has watched it? One of my favorites from last year was Midnight in Paris. Helps that I love Paris. Dont know a lot about literature, but I knew all the characters. Very well done film.

Not surprised at people who didnt like it. I just thought it was fantastic. Much like COA said, just something about it. Not a lot of flaws and it was just a simple movie executed well, imo.jordo212000;1292201 wrote:Ugh I disliked that movie

I hit info to read what Midnight in Paris was about and it just sounds boring to me. Then again I thought Descendants had a plain plot too when I read about it online and I ended up loving it. Is it as good as Descendants?

No. But considering you watch movies to be entertained, Id be stunned if you didnt think MiP was at least above average.bigdaddy2003;1292230 wrote:I hit info to read what Midnight in Paris was about and it just sounds boring to me. Not the genre of movie that I usually get excited about but I am for Here Comes the Boom simply because everything Bas does is hilarious and he's apparently got a pretty large role. Might see it tomorrow.
