The 3D craze has been going on way too long. It's time to put it back on the shelf until James Cameron makes another movie.

On a different note I noticed Dredd has an 85 percent on Rotten Tomatoes with 57 fresh reviews and 10 rotten. That is kind of shocking to me.

Actually, now that I've thought about it. The Hobbit is about dwarves trying to get their mountain back from a dragon. Lord of the rings is about a Hobbit trying to melt the one ring. It's not really the same at all.

I heard it was good from a couple other people. I'll probably see it next week. I watched Trouble with the Curve. Not too bad.

The Hobbit will be the first true 3D movie, if I'm not mistaken.

For all of my fellow chatter members who go to the movies to be entertained I recommend that you skip House at the End of the Street.

On Apple TV just watched "Cabin in the Woods" and "21 Jump Street."

Recommend both, they are both parodies with the latter being more successful, but we enjoyed both. Channing Tatum was freaking hilarious in 21 Jump Street.

I would agree. I didn't expect a masterpiece but I thought it would be a little better than it was.

I've heard that Trouble with the Curve is a steaming pile of shit, at least in regards to their portrayal of baseball.

I finally got around to watching the Avengers over the weekend. My friend had a blu-ray copy.

I guess apart from the latest Batman flicks, super hero movies aren't for me. I could barely sit through it.

It was a typical horror movie I think. IMO no better or worse than any friday the 13th or halloween movie.

I'm right there with you. They're terrible for the most part.

Clint just plays the same character now, grumpy old dude who yells at people.

I thought it was more of a spoof, but I am surprised that it got such rave reviews. I was not a fan.

There is a tradition of renting movies in my house. If I rent it the movie is usually pretty good. If my wife rents it the movie usually sucks. She rented 5 year engagement and cabin in the woods this week....ugh
