Pretty much how I felt about it. The ending was just dumb. I watched that Halle berry movie "the call" the other day....stupidest ending ever

Saw Man of Steel, agreed it was fantastic.
A nice refresh of the concept of Superman.

I see that everyone here likes man of steel....wonder why it is getting "rotten" reviews?

Sometimes it pours on the symbolism too much. And the music is awesome in spots, but a little too loud in others.wes_mantooth;1458596 wrote:I see that everyone here likes man of steel....wonder why it is getting "rotten" reviews?
It does divert from the canon a bit much, so maybe that is another reason.

I could see why someone wouldn't care for Man of Steel, it was a bit too over the top action wise. Tons of CGI.

They can stop using CGI when we have a real Superman.

I think Man of Steel just needed Nolan to direct the thing. I like Snyder a lot, but even with Chris Nolan writing it I doubt it's going to be Batman levels

I thought this is the end was pretty damn funny but it wasn't my favorite comedy ever. It was just "meh" for me. No way does it touch wedding crashers or old school.

My opinion, as well. Some parts were great, but they tried too hard for some other parts.

I also agree with you two. I thought it was funny but nowhere near a "classic"

Yeah, me too. It was funny, but I guess I was a little disappointed with it. Someone said they liked 'The Internship' better and I probably fall into that category as well.SportsAndLady;1458647 wrote:I thought this is the end was pretty damn funny but it wasn't my favorite comedy ever. The Internship is a classic DVD movie for me.
I laughed my ass off at This is the End. Just was a horrible plot and despite being a comedy, I still want to see a decent plot; which is why I put WC and OS way ahead of it.

Lol....of course it was a terrible plot...it was pretty much a sketch comedy. Plenty of jokes missed, but I thought it had plenty more hits than misses. Craig Robinson was top notch

I get that..I said it was hilarious. I'm just saying people were calling it as good as Wedding Crashers and Old School. No way, needs a great plot to be on that level.wes_mantooth;1458701 wrote:Lol....of course it was a terrible plot...it was pretty much a sketch comedy. I can see that....especially old school. I loved wedding crashers too until it got a little sappy lol

I would have thrown everything I just said out the window if they wouldn't have killed off Michael Cera though lol I was dying at his scenes. They should have kept him in it. A coke'd out guy wasn't gonna need any of their available resources anyways lol

Man of Steel > Superman Returns, although that is faint praise.Classyposter58;1458640 wrote:I think Man of Steel just needed Nolan to direct the thing. I like Snyder a lot, but even with Chris Nolan writing it I doubt it's going to be Batman levels
It was good, but very very loud. The last act was like watching a Michael Bay Transformers movie. It will make a lot of money for WB, but I don't see watching it again.

Super excited for this one. I spied the love of my life Coach Taylor (AKA Kyle Chandler) in the trailer...eeek! I also plan to read the book in the near future.justincredible;1458874 wrote:This looks pretty sweet. Scorcese and Leo, together again.
