Fast 6 was enjoyable. Nothing worth writing home about, but I'm ok with it... Obviously over the top action, sexy women, and sexy cars...

One movie I watched recently, albeit not exactly a new release, is "End of Watch" with Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena. I never heard much about this movie, and the previews made it look decent when it released in theaters, but I never got around to check it out... Just watched it on Netflix instant streaming and I have to say, this movie is vastly underrated and ****ing terrific. The chemistry Jake and Michael had as partners in the LAPD was excellent and I read that they did extended ride alongs with actual LAPD officers to gain knowledge. I was literally hooked throughout the entire movie..
Yeah I enjoyed End of Watch quite a bit as well.

The Internship was okay. Typical Vince Vaughn movie of him trying to be whitty and cunning while winking at people. Wanted to see The Purge, but reviews haven't been too great.

I think I'm gonna go check out The Purge tomorrow, despite the bad reviews.

Saw The Purge on Friday and I enjoyed it, as did the other two people I was with. It gets points just for being an original idea, and it kept me entertained.

I probably missed the Star Trek talk, but I saw it last week and thought it was a fun and entertaining movie. I'm a fan of the reboots.

I know it's not the usual type of movie talked about on here, but my niece is staying with us for a few days so we took her to see Epic. My question is..are all children's movies this stupid these days? I never watch them because I don't have kids.

Just got back from seeing NOW YOU SEE ME and AFTER EARTH. Now You See Mee was pretty good. Jessie Esienberg is becoming quite the star (tho his acting is pretty much the same role/style everytime). I tend to like "magic movies" (The Prestige, The Illusionist). I'm not going to go so far as to say Now You See Me was on the same level, but it was certainly good; just the ending was a little bizarre.

[SP]I saw the ending coming the whole way. Figured it was either the girl or Mark Ruffalo, and figured it was probably TOO obvious that it would be the girl, so that kinda made it more easy to guess it was more than likely Mark Ruffalo.

Also... What was up with the merry-go-round at the end?!? Weird. [/SP]

After Earth wasn't as bad as the reviews suggest. It wasn't good, but it wasn't "awful". Side note: I had no idea After Earth was an M. Night Shamalan movie until the end credits. The "smart suit" was pretty cool.

[SP] Also... what was up with the "whales" and the "jet" flying away at the end? Didn't seem to be any real point to that scene, other than they thought it would look cool, lol. [/SP]

I'd give Now You See Me a solid 7 and After Earth a 4 or a 5.

^You're giving After Earth a 4-5, and say it wasn't as bad as the reviews say. What the hell do the reviews say?!

Yeah, many of the reviews would lead you to believe it's a 2, maybe even a 1 out of 10... but I think that's an extreme exaggeration. It wasn't THAT bad. Again... I think a 4, maybe even a 5, is appropriate.

I really liked The Internship, but Vince Vaughn is one of my favorite actors. Will probably see This is the end sometime this weekend, and see if my dad wants to catch Man of Steel next week.

Bout to hit up "this is the end" at 7pm tonight...pumped.

Reviews are pretty good. As for Man of Steel, reviews are positive but not awesome like I was expecting. I really don't care for Superman in general, so I don't know if I will watch it or not.

I'm seeing it at 9:30. Cannot wait either. It got the Superbad treatment for me after I saw the original theater preview ages ago, meaning everytime a commercial played I changed the channel, covered my ears, or left the room. I haven't really been exposed to any scenes so I'm excited.
