He's an ace with great stuff and a live arm. He should help you get to the playoffs this year, and once you get there who knows what will happen? I would be excited about this tradeWhat's your beef with it?

Since starting the season 15-1 last year, he's something like 10-16 with an era over 4.....that's not ace material.
I hope you're right....but right now i don't like it.

So he is only throwing 94 or 95 now? HahaSince starting the season 15-1 last year, he's something like 10-16 with an era over 4.....that's not ace material.
I hope you're right....but right now i don't like it.
And he's lost about 6-7 mph, consistently, on his fastball.
I haven't heard anything like that about Ubaldo. I'll take your word for it though

Lee and Masterson only spent a very short amount of time in our system. Before CC, I think you have to go back to Nagy to find a good pitcher that our system developed. Chances are White and Pom won't don much. A very small percentage of prospects ever do much. There is a reason the same organizations are always sellers.

Jesus Christ. I've been drinking rather than watching a horrible team play baseball. Just randomly checking in on the box score. Fuck that trade. Pomeranz and White will both be as good as Ubaldo, if not better. This team is going nowhere for the next 1.5+ years, so fuck that shit.
Jesus Christ. Consider me officially on the fire Antoinetti bandwagon. It would have taken a hell of a lot to take over the 'more inept than Shapiro' train, but he managed it in a single fucking move. I wasn't expecting more than 75 wins this season, but I'm honestly about ready to 100% quit on this franchise after reading that trade. They can move the fuck out of Cleveland, because with moves like that they won't win shit, thus making me not give a shit. Hor-fucking-rific.

This...exactly this. Trade away 2 blue chip studs for Ubaldo? Are they kidding me? Alex White is a better pitcher right now versus Ubaldo. Jesus Lord....please move this franchise away from here.

Heard a good point made on WKNR tonight on the Tribe after show.
Why is it that Colorado arguably got much more from us as far as prospects go than we got for either Lee or Sabathia, when Ubaldo is half of the pitcher either of the other 2 are.
We gave away the organization's top 2 prospects, yet when we made those trades we got prospects generally outside the top 3 from the Brewers and Phillies?
Seems to me we have a very weak front office as far as negotiations go because we get bent over on both sides of trades anymore.

Hate this trade......we gave up 2 cy young pitchers in lee and cc and couldn't get there top prospects in return....then give up our 2 top prospects for a struggling pitcher.... Dont understand this move at all

White pitched very well in his few stints. Also gotta start somewhere, I guess we should trade all of our prospects for mediocre players in the majors since they havent proven anything yet? Nice fail joel.
