Great at bat by Escobar to give Royals insurance run. Huge run. That is probably your ballgame now.

SMH. It seems Tony Sipp always gives up a run per appearance now.

Said the same thing last night.
This team thrives in the 9th.

Btw, it looks like this team is done even with this move. Going to lose 2 of 3 to a lousy team and then going against red sox and rangers.....stick a fork in them.

Not yet at least. Non waiver trade deadline has passed, but the waiver tade deadline isn't over until Aug 31st. That's when Wandy could be moved because he'll pass waivers.

I don't understand why Smith wasn't brought in to face Escobar.

Gordan with another 0-2 hit and this one was a piece of shit broken bat bloop job. It seems we don't get those anymore now that we are going bad. We get down 0-2 its an automatic K.

Good 2 win homestand. Let's go get our heads bashed in by Boston 4 times and Texas 3 times.

When it is all said and done this year....we are goint to end up with 85-90 losses....what a waste of great pitching.

Welp. Still cant comprehend why we gave up our top 2 pitchers when all we needed was a bat. I was more fine with the deal when I thought we would bring in Ludwick or someone. But now??? They better be thinking of signing a FA in the offseason, cause this offense wont get much better. Im not counting on Chiz and Kipnis becoming legit MLB offensive threats in one offseason.

This statement captures how I feel about the current "unpleasantness"!
Laley: at least your pal Bob D's interviews with Tribe greats was a great joy to hear over the weekend.

I wonder if this game will be the determining factor in the cy young. I mean..a head to head win by Verlander against Weaver is pretty damn nice....probably not though

Yeah, easily 1 and 2 right now. Id give Weaver the nod just over Verlander. Not that it really mattered, but it sucks Weaver was tossed today (granted, in the 7th). Verlander got the win, but they both were fantastic.
4 runners for the Angles, and 5 for Detroit. 8 Ks for JW, and 9 Ks for JV.

Agreed. But at the end of today, I think Weaver would win...probably more 2nd place votes puts him over the top. The 1st place would be basically split imo.

This may be true. But, I would take Verlander all day over Weaver.
