well, we gave up the farm, so we'll see what happens...and to be honest, I can't wait for football season to begin

Some people got their wish.

We'll see if it sells any tickets now.

Well, after sleeping on the trade, I don't feel any better about it. Jimenez has to come in and be an ACE. We'll just have to wait and see what develops and how White and Pomeranz do in the future.

I was at the game last night, had a great time. We were down on the porch when Laporta went deep.

I dont mind the trade. It would have been nice to keep White or Pom but Ubaldo puts them in a better position to win this year. Get into the playoffs with that rotation and who knows...

Ain't that the truth, brother!

I feel no better today than I did last night on this trade. White proved himself to me before he injured his finger. Pitching is our strength. We need bats. Maybe if we get Ludwick, I will feel better.

Haven't had the internet due to moving but I am on the fence with this trade.

Like I stated before, I'd only trade our top pitching prospects for a legit starter. Jiminez has the stuff to be that legit starter, he proved that last season and has been decent when healthy this year. I am unsure about trading both White and Pomeranz but there are some positives. I think our farm will recover, we've had Adam Miller as a top prospect who never panned out.

Jiminez contract is very friendly and he puts us in the position to win now. The rotation looks a lot better with Masterson, Jiminez, and Tomlin at the top of the rotation if we can win the Central.

I expect Cleveland to pick up Ludwick today to add another bat to the lineup. But pitching wins championships and if the offense is going to continue to blow, I'll take the extra support in the rotation.

I'd love to hear a counter argument that accounts for the completely unknown nature of pitching prospects.

Indians close to deal with Ryan Ludwick per Yahoo on mlbtraderumors.

I read Ludwick is close also. Question is, who do we give up? Do we try and move Grady?

Ludwick will land a deal similar to the Cubs trade. No real high prospects.

Kearns out.

What the hell is up with Carmona?

Does the guy dunk his cap in water or does he have a sweating problem.

Duffy has picked off Brantly and Cabrera in the first 3 innings. We have a hard enough time scoring without making outs on the bases.

He picked off AC twice but time was called on the first one... He almost picked off Brantley with a snap throw, then he picks him off going on first movement...

Not real sure WTF these guys are doing.

I'm sure this walk with unravel Carmona. He can't find the zone right now.

It's gotten really hard to watch these guys--they're making mistakes that are made in junior knothole, and I just don't see any fire out of Acta when we continue to make mental errors...again, it's frustrating to watch.

WtF is Santana doing out there? Standing in foul territory does what exactly when there is a relay coming to a possible play at the plate?

Just a heads up. Verlander is through 5. Not exactly call your friends time but he is sharp today.

Just another ho hum day at the park for him.

Every time out is a potential no hitter for him with his stuff.
