Because if they are buyers for the right piece...Ubaldo or Pence, we get them for 2.5 years. I dont want a rent-a-player (ludwick, etc). But Id love a proven player for a run the next few years. Preferrably Pence.

And this team really sucks! It looks like they've mailed it in.

It wasn't even a joke. I was quoting a comment from Twisted Sister's Dee Snider about how her death wasn't a "tragedy" but a "life choice" and the bitch goes into mopey meltdown mode. Must have struck a (personal) nerve or something.

Was down at the yard watching the Hens play and heckling Brandon Inge tonight. Another game I am glad I missed. This season is over. Tonight was the nail in the coffee. Turn off the lights and turn this play into parkin lot. Its over.

If they pull it off, I will applaud the effort. But whoever we give up should have been packaged for Pence. That filled a MUCH bigger need. I do like Ubaldo, but I dont wanna part with Pomeranz. White I can live with, but not Pomeranz. I think he will be better than Ubaldo, sooner than later.

Why indeed. That was my whole position when all the trad talks started. This team wasn't good enough then and isn't now. It doesn't matter how many games out of first they are or even if they are in first. Ubaldo can't give up negative runs. He's just going to come here, pitch solid and be a tough luck loser like everyone else. We can't score. Pitching, save for last night, has been the strong suit of late.
