It was pretty much a captain obvious statement

yeah, I agree. I don't think we are a championship team, but our division sucks so that gives us a chance. Or we can sit on our hands and play for next year and then bitch and moan when we struggle to a sub .500 record.BR1986FB;839622 wrote:Con Alma....^^^this was my point. Maybe a guy like a Willingham or Ludwick can give the offense a boost and get them into the playoffs. I'm not saying those guys are going to get them a ring but for godsakes at least TRY.
Like disco stu said "anything can happen." I can't see the hurt in giving up a A type prospect to get a right handed stick. Those guys are crapshoots anyway. You just don't part with your "core" players.
Oh I think Hannahan is a gold glover. But his stick is so bad....he doesn't even start anymore. Maybe Oakland or Seattle has a worse tandem than we do at first/third.Con_Alma;839573 wrote:Jack Hanahan is excellent defensively!!!! I agree. Footwedge missed the mark with his statement.

The defense wasted another great start from Masterson and the offense still can't figure out that vaunted White Sox pitching staff.
