Justin, do not read this lol.
Found this on AMC's forum.
I just replayed the episode and it occurred to me as I watched the ending that Walter White is dead. Beneath the floor of his suburban home he lies buried. As I watched the ending I realized that right at the end he stops laughing and goes still.
What I think we are being shown is that Walter White- the teacher, the father, the husband is now gone. Dead and buried. His psyche finally snapped. The only recourse to him is to be Heisenberg now. Not just to survive physically, but mentally. And not just for a little while to get out of this pickle he is in, but always.
Its all he can do. And I think that is what this season is all about- the Breaking of Walter White. Pushing him until he could no longer be Walter, the guy who occasionally played at being heisenberg, he is now Heisenberg, who will use the facade of Walter White. How can a man of Walters background survive all that he has been through in the last year? Murdering people, losing his wife, estranged and living a constant lie, the constant looming death from cancer, Gus, and everything else, the constant pressure of Hank and the DEA breathing down his throat. There is no way for his psyche to hold up. So under that house, in the dirt he lies buried, and the only person coming out of there is Heisenberg.
I expect complete ruthlessness from here on out. I even think he may seriously kill Jesse and whoever the hell he has to now.
