Um..."Is this kid for real or is he just another Brady Quinn?" "Brady looked good coming out too, are we just overrating ND QB's like we've clearly done with every TEAM they've had the last 10 years?"...like I said, it more than likely won't effect his draft position--but it WILL be brought up and it can only hurt him, it clearly can't help his case.

Shit, this is so irrelevant to the conversation anyways, like I said--they'll consider everything. They'll consider whether or not he can throw to their receivers based on how good the guys were he was throwing to in college. They'll consider the corners and safeties he threw against. They'll consider the defenses and D-coordinators he played against. They'll compare him to other guys in the draft, past guys in the draft (which is obviously going to include a guy that went to the same school and played for the same coach). Like I said, Weis wouldn't have gone out of his way to say that he thinks he's ahead of Brady if he knew that didn't matter.

Lead?
LOL, excuse me! I'm a little fucked up and apparently not as focused as I should be while talking ND football!!! At least I didn't call him Mike Clausen.
haha I knew what you meant, I was just pointing out that everyone can make mistakes when they post. I assume you knew what he meant when he said David Sanchez as well. No offense intended...
Well, clearly I did, I posted about USC before he corrected it. I was just giving him a hard time too.

NFL scouts look at a propspects physical attributes and their POTENTIAL at the next level. Even QB's who play in a wide open system are graded that way. What Brady Quinn does or did has no effect on Jimmy Clausen.

Wrong. They consider a hell of a lot more than that. I thought you said we'd agree to disagree? Why are you still arguing with me? I think I've made a pretty strong case here.

Ok then "Is this kid for real or is he just another Matt Leinart?" "Matt looked good coming out too" These types of questions didn't have much of an impact on Sanchez's draft stock did it? I agree with you that GM's will consider how Quinn has performed, I just don't think it will have much of an impact, positive or negative.

OMGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!

For the last time, I've made it VERY, VERY, VERRRRRY clear that I'm not saying it will having any effect on his draft position--it could, but it might not. The original point was that it can only hurt him. They might totally throw it out. It absolutely will be talked about though.

I doubt he goes top 5, the guy can barely make a bowl game and beat hapless Hawaii and NFL teams expect him to come in and be a franchise QB? Joke.
Because a QB plays the other 21 starting positions also right?
No, but he won't in the NFL either. He plays QB and can't get it done at the college level at his position, so what makes you think he'll even be moderately successful at a higher level?
3722 yds 68% compl % 28Td 4 Int man he just sucks :s

Well this is interesting, Todd McShay (who I think is a douche bag but he takes all his talking points directly from the NFL scouts that he talks to every day) says that his weakest throw is his deep ball, for the reason that same of us have said--he's throw a lot of jump balls because his great receivers go up and get them.

Yeah they do, like intelligence, ability to process information, character and so on, but, Brady Quinn's performance collegiatley or professionally has nothing to do with how Clausen will be evaluated.

J.C. has slid numbers but have so other QB'S who have failed to make a splash in the NFL.

I would think he will be better than Brady but no where close to the player Joe was.

NCF, you said one would be a stud and the other a solid backup. I take it you think Clausen will be the stud and Tate the backup?

No sir,
I think Tate is going to be one heck of a rec and J.C. be a solid back up.
Look I do not want this turning into a p*****g contest.
That's just might thoughts/prediction of these two players.

Would you contribute to a thread? All you do is run around threads and tell everyone to shut up if they're having a discussion. What do you want me to do if I disagree with someone--or if anyone does for that matter? Don't blame me if you can't handle an argument--what the fuck is this place for?

Go suck your thumb.

As long as the Browns don't take him Im fine. We need to trade for a sure thing (veterna) where we know what we are getting.

I personally think he will go to whoever has the higher pick between Carolina and St. Louis

Cool, I rather have a decent chat on here and as you might have noticed I have decided against responding to anyone who wants to take things to a different level. It’s useless to waste space on here knowing many of those who are still doing this would never do so face to face with another person. So now I will do my best to post about the topic and my thoughts on them without causing anyone to get high blood pressure.

Umm I came on here to contribute to this thread, but I saw you two douchers filling up with this thread screaming back and forth at each other
"BRADY WON'T AFFECT CLAUSSEN!!!"
"YES HE WILL!!!"
"NO HE FUCKING WONT!!!"
"AGREE TO DISAGREE!!"
"FINE BUT HE STILL WON'T!!"
"NO YOU SAID AGREE TO DISAGREE YOU CANT TALK ANYMORE!!"

I think most people on here (a select few being the exception) would rather have decent discussions. But yeah I agree with the safety of the internet people become a lot tougher than they would be in real life.
