This is what I'm talking about, over glorification of the military. It's a freaking PC joke. Yes, support them(with my tax dollars) and respect them, but they should be treated just like every one else.
Tiger2003;797693 wrote:Look I respect the other branches but do I think they are shit? Hell yes I do but they think the Marines are shit. Yah we fight the same war but it is a Rivalry. We all think we are the best. Do I think they could do more hell yes. I think this because of the money the other branches have. Yes I will take it to my grave that the Marines are the best.
Good. THAT is what is respectable.Tiger2003;797693 wrote:I don't expect no handouts. I don't want that shit. But when it is given I say thank you. I don't ask stores if they have military discount. I don't use being disabled to my benefits. I'm not that type of person. I don't want any of you to feel sorry for me because I lost my leg. I joined I knew this could happen.
Nope. They just factor the cost of the average passenger's bags into the ticket price. The bags are "free" because you already paid for them when you bought the ticket.Tiger2003;797906 wrote:Yep they do.
Midstate01;797926 wrote:It's not like because someone is a soldier, that they still can't be assholes. There are plenty of ppl in our military that act like idiots. Get dui's, commit crimes, beat their wives... They aren't all perfect.
They should all be respected by us, but that doesn't mean they don't have to respect others. Most soldiers aren't that way. But of course there are bad apples.

Maybe a higher percentage than normal of Mizzou fans are meth heads, but there is a Mizzou fan down the street from me here in Ohio. Meth labs in Missouri really don't affect him too much.
Correlation does not prove causation, but I will DEFINITELY be sending this graph to my Mizzou fan buddies.

You mention FF and Policeman and such. Thtey dont really get sent to foreign countries for 6mo to a year at a time. Most of them get to come home each night, sleep in their own beds and be a normal person.
There are a few policemen in our unit that have been deployed mutliple times and they will be the first to tell you that the difference is night and day.
Two of them are from Wisconsin. LOL!SportsAndLady;797954 wrote:Haha it will make them sooo proud of where they are from

Or go into sales even. Many sales positions don't require a college degree and can be lucrative.sleeper;797955 wrote:The difference being police and fireman actually have to get an education. Don't want to be deployed in a foreign country? Go to college.

So what happend to the Omni Air or Trans World airlines haha, thought they were the airlines used to get across the pond?Midstate01;797185 wrote: Delta will make it right... Have too! They are almost the exclusive airline that the USAF uses, they won't want to lose that money from troops pcs'ing, deploying or tdy.
And nice to see most the airlines make it 5 free bags on orders. That'll be great when we leave Hawaii. Be able to use a few bags just to put things for the baby in.
