I got sucked back into watching some NBA when the Cavs got LeBron -- and his leaving really pissed me off. Now I REALLY want to see the Cavs be successful and LeBron have a career-ending injury (yes I just wrote that). Actually, I'd rather he stay healthy and never win a title in his career.
It's outstanding that the Cavs will have 2 of the top 4 picks and I'm hoping the top pick becomes as good as the last overall no. 1 was for the Cavaliers, and they get at least a really good starter with the second pick.
I'm now sucked back in (some) when I thought I was done with the NBA...so I'll be watching all of this very closely as Gilbert tries to rebuild the franchise in a hurry.

A few tweets:
From Pro Basketball Draft:
Regarding the fervor about Cavs trading 4 & Hickson for Derrick Williams no way it happens. Cavs lukewarm on Williams. Not as much upside.
Kyrie Irving compares to Chris Paul. Derrick Williams is like DAvid West. Who is better? Not even a question.
From Chad Ford:
I think there's zero suspense at the top. I'm told Cavs love Irving. Suspense begins at 2: Williams, Kanter, Biyombo, trade all possible

Cavs slogan pays off, "All for #1 and one #4 all".

Mike Wilbon just tweeted he'd go Williams and Walker with the Cavs picks.

That's why he's a writer and not a NBA executive.

Yeah he's better than a lot of other talking heads, but I've heard him say plenty of things that I didn't think made much sense in the past. Who knows, he could be right, theres a lottery in the NBA but the gamble is picking.

I dont think either will be there. I think Williams goes #2, Kanter #3.

ESPN's updated mock has 1. Irving 2. Williams 3. Knight 4. Kanter.
I hope it goes down like that!

You HAVE to take Irving #1. You are not going anywhere in the new East unless you have someone who can compete with/check Rose.
Irving was the best player in the country when he stepped on the floor at Duke. The injury really hurt, or he is up there for NPOY.

Crazy stat I read before the lottery that got added to tonight. It said 3 of last 5 years the #1 pick went to the team projected to be the 8th pick in the draft. Tonight makes 4 of 6 years. So much for a 2.8% chance.
Edit: Lol meant the 6th pick not 8th. I suck

You like Williams over Irving?

agreed, you do NOT want that kid running your team, he may turn into a Jason Terry type instant offense off the bench player though.wildcats20;771962 wrote:Kemba is not an NBA point guard.
Or I should say won't be.

He definitely can handle and his shot isn't terrible. He's a great player, and would fit well with a young core.

KKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN N"This league has a habit, and I am just going to say habit, of producing some pretty incredible story lines," Kahn said. "Last year it was Abe Pollin's widow and this year it was a 14-year-old boy and the only thing we have in common is we have both been bar mitzvahed. We were done. I told Kevin: 'We're toast.' This is not happening for us and I was right."

How many times have you seen him play, He's a defender an an athlete but he lacks a lot of skill on the offensive end.

He may or may not be getting a strongly worded letter from David Stern which will end with a request for a sizable donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Minneapolis.

He shot 45% from the field and 30% from the 3-pt line. Lacks skill on the offensive end? LOL
I suppose his 10.5 rebounds per game is irrelevant too.

It's not like he played against top tier talent...
But yeah, he could be a good pickup. But not that early.
