IMO, I'm a little worried about Derrick Williams. He's a tweener in my eyes. Not really a SF, not really a PF...
Needs to work on scoring away from the bucket. But he is an athletic freak

No question... I think he will be a good player, but I don't think he'll be elite like Irving.

I agree. Williams doesnt have the speed or the jumper to play the 3. Hes not quite big enough to play the 4 either. I usually dont like the idea of going after a Euro big guy but I would be OK with Kanter or Valanciunas

Miinesota will take whoever the Cavs don't so the best case scenarios depending on who Cavs take at 1 would look like this because you want a PG and a F:

Cavs - Irving
Wolves - Williams
Jazz - Knight
Cavs - Kanter

or

Cavs - Williams
Wolves - Irving
Jazz - Kanter
Cavs - Knight

I would hate that #4 pick

If we go PG and both Williams and Kanter come off the board, that would fucking blow.

I would really like to see Chris Singleton drop to the 2nd round. Hes not a great shooter but the guy is tough as nails on defense.

Honestly, any other year and Williams isn't a top 5 pick.

I disagree. I think Williams is a top 5 talent. With that said, if the Cavs go with Irving, Williams will be taken before #4.

So I guess our #1 pick was via the Clippers trade? LMAO.

I think that will probably happen. Jazz need a PG, maybe they take Knight

I wouldn't underestimate the Cavs trying to move up with that #4 pick... I mean, KAAAAAAHAHHHHHHHNNNNNNN is picking right behind us.

And Jamario.

I'm sure Bill Simmons is gonna love that, he's always ripping the Clips. I have to imagine regardless of BDiddy's contract that most all teams would rather have the #1 overall and BDiddy over Mo Williams and Jamario.

That is correct, someone out in LA is getting fired for not protecting a top 3 pick as we speak...

Plenty of Euro big men have succeeded too. Both Gasols, Dirk, Z, Bargnani. Even guys like Casspi, Gortat, Pachulia, etc. have had at least some level of success. And I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting too.

Guys like Darko and Tskitizvili are remembered more frequently, but it isn't like every Euro/international (if you want to go that route and throw in Bogut, Nene, etc.) busts.

I'm definitely less worried about him than most of the rest of the class that I don't think anybody is really expecting to ever make a huge impact.

I like Thompson from Texas also at 4. I think he has tremendous upside and could be the best player in this draft

People seem to forget how good Irving was before injuring his toe. He was heads and shoulders the best player in college bball. He displayed everything you want out of a NBA PG..

I don't like Thompson at all. He seems like Brandan Wright part 2 to me.

I really liked Wright coming out. Not making that mistake again.

Yeah, if you get Kanter at 4 and even if he ends up just being Z, that's pretty solid. Better than a bust. Z gave that franchise a lot of good years.

Without the injuries, Z's game is more than just being a jump shooter too. He had a pretty solid post up game, but I think it would have been far better if not for all the years lost.

That certainly didn't help his case. He was a good solid center, especially for his price. You need players like that when you're building something.
