When my family played Scrabble, there was no dictionary to 'prove' a word exists. If you can't use it in a sentence, you can't use it. Just because you know Kwijiboo is a word because a dictionary told you, doesn't mean it, effectively, is a word if you can't figure out where it's used in a sentence. And then if there was a dispute, it was settled by a vote of the people playing if it would count.

Similar to a game of Bullshit and Scrabble mixed together.
