qi is an accepted word apparently and is also the same word for chi, for the chinese belief in energy in all living things.

Words with friends however is the bane of my existence at the moment.
I am sick of people playing slop words on me in this game, simply throwing words on the board and hoping they stick. I feel there is little intellectual work involved by players when they just put letters up and hope it makes a word.
In my latest game a "friend" (soon to be former) played these nuggets

-gip
-genoa
-froe
There is no way on God's green earth that this simpleton is familiar with northern english slang (which I thought was against the game's rules), nautical terms, or antique farm equipment from the 17th century.
Persons who play words like this in scrabble or wwf are charlatans, or downright cheaters.
