For the last 12-13 years I have rented and never had to mow. I maybe did at mom and dads once or twice while they were gone but havent really gotten to mow in years.

Growing up always did grandma and grandpa's yard. Started at 5 bucks and by the time I was done years later it was up to 10 dollars! Felt like I was rich in Jr High.

But I finally got to mow at my new house for the first time and loved it!

Do they make like mini rollers to put behind the push mowers so you can see the lines and such? I always liked to mow in some sort of design and such.

yeah..i am wierd!

Naw... Lawns are like a new video game. 1st they are intriguing... Can't wait to get back to em. Then they start to be a chore, boring and repetitive.

Then they start to get expensive and annoying...

Edit: Lawns are not like video games, they are like girlfriends.... :)

I love cutting the grass too. IPod, cigar, taking a break every 10 minutes for a sip or two of beer is a good way to spend the afternoon.

I have a MTD walk behind mower which has a weighted bar on it which does leave the lines on the grass you are looking for.

Zune + beer = mowing the lawn is a good time.

Although you've got to be careful, you can in fact get an OVI while driving a lawn mower in your yard. Good think my house is off the road a bit.

I LOVE mowing the lawn. I mow 3/4 of acre right now and when we move this summer I will have 1.75 acres to mow. I have a great Hustler zero turn that I wont even let my wife use. The yard is mine. It needs mowed now but just way too wet.

I have a walk behind and can cut my grass in the time it takes to sip three beers. Given my enormous tolerance of alcohol three beers doesn't scratch the surface.

Eh I'd much rather do it when it's hot than when it's in the 40s or low 50s.

After baling hay summer after summer after summer, cutting grass long since became just a pain in the rear. If Hilliard zoning would let me, I'd just turn a couple of sheep loose in the back yard and pick up the droppings once a week.

A well manicured lawn and clean front of house is the first thing any visitor or person driving bye will notice. It becomes a pride thing.

Cut and trimmed is all I care about and it's not because I give a shit what some dude driving by will think. It's because it's practical and I like it.
