Never was kicked in the head.

But I've been kicked by a horse before. I was about 12 at the time and my fave horse was a tempermental bitch who did not like her tail to be combed, brushed or anything. It wasn't a bad kick, but hard enough to put a knot on my leg and a hideous bruise for a few weeks. But she was the best rider and responsive mount we had.

Hope the girl in the story is alright!

Kicked in the lower back by a colt once when I was 12-13. Left a nasty bruise for a while. No water was involved.

Never in the head, but ive been kicked many times, thrown off many times, etc. It never becomes fun

Didn't you just love the dirt/gravel embedded in your hands and knees? lol

The horse that threw me the most was my first pony. Ponies can be quite testy!
BTW, the mare that kicked me never threw me. The pony that threw me never kicked me.

Ponies suck because they're so small nobody who knows what they are doing can ride them. :)
