Our government is becoming more and more tyrannical. Seizing a companies assets? That is no better than Venezuela nationalizing Owens-Corning factories.

Just legalize online gambling and tax it and make a shit load of money.

Um, they didn't seize the assets because it was gambling. They seized them because they were indicted of bank fraud and money laundering.

Where in my post did I say they seized it because of gambling? I understand why they seized the assets. However, if online gambling was legal, these companies wouldn't have had to launder money and alledgely commit bank fraud.

Again our government is missing out on a huge tax revenue.

Glad I quit playing poker online long ago. Couldn't stand the horrible players and horrible unlikely bad beats that happened one out of every 4 hands. Much better and happier just playing at the casinos or at home games.

I'm sorry if this is out of place, but I can guarantee that there will be a revolution in this country at some point in my lifetime.

I agree that online poker gambling should be straight up legal.

But if these companies were laundering money and committing bank fraud then they must be indicted.

What I'm saying is that you can only take away so many liberties before those you serve turn on you. BTW, I have never played online poker in my life, but didn't Pokerstars run commercials saying that it was free?

And yes, lets start one now. ;)

I know exactly what you were getting at!

I am 100% for it. It's been awhile since we've seen one...

Just saw this in the comments section.
Jim Duggan · Glens Falls Senior High School
This is an incredibly corrupt, overbearing, and overreaching government that has just alienated millions of people of their trust.

I heard about this and went to get my money out. Turns out I have $22 and you need $25 in order to cash out. And I can't play real money tables anymore to try to up it to $25. What a joke.

I think I started out with a $100. I haven't played in years, and instead of continually pumping my account, I got frustrated and gave up.

I'm sorry what is your profession again? Oh that's right, kickball instructor.

I have a cousin who paid for his Ohio State tuition from playing online poker. If you're skilled and patient then you can make a ton of money.

Yeah if you work at it you can definitely make good money from it. A buddy of mine qualified for a live event in wales in two weeks. $20k buy in. 6 person table. Winner wins $120k. There will be 5 full tilt pros and him.

A family friend won a $100k tournament online. Moved to Vegas shortly after. Not long after that he won a $100k tournament there. He's back home now, not sure what happened to all the money. Hopefully he banked most of it.
