Hogwash. There are plenty of great devices out there. For Verizon, the Droid CHARGE. For AT&T, the Atrix.
If the iPhone 5 is 4G, look out. That will be a game (i.e., industry) changer. It would be thin, fast, and decent battery. That will springboard the competition into finding ways to answer the battery drain issue.
