In terms of the East, the Habs are playing pretty solid hockey and like last year could continue their hot streak. The Sabers have an even better defense than the Pens in my view and Miller is in Olympic form. He is the hottest goalie in the playoffs right now. Then there is the Caps, while yes they are Caps, it is a different team and they actually play defense.
I also doubt Philly or Boston advance, I like Buf. and Mon really.
Yeah, the East is open and so is the west.
I also think there are 6 teams better in the West than the Pens, but that is neither here nor there.
You must have been watching a different game, I mean Pittsburgh out shot Tampa almost 2 to 1 and never gave them a chance to get out of their own zone.
As for Buffalo, Pittsburgh has owned Ryan Miller and the Sabres over the years, and there's no way their first four defense is better than Pittsburgh's, not even close. Montreal is tough for anyone to play because of their sytem which Pittsburgh figured out last year but couldn't get anything past Halak who stood on his head (they shredded Tampa's 1-3-1 two games in a row now). Again, I like Pittsburgh's chance against anyone and they have proven that over the course of the last half of the season with otu Crosby and Malkin. They have a ton of playoff experience on that team too.
If any team scares me from either divison it's Detroit and their wealth of playoff experience.......no one's talking about them.
