^^^^I agree about the practices but your #1 QB for next year isn't available if the new coach wants to get some of his philosophies rolling. If Weis was still there it's a different story but with a new coach coming in what are they going to practice. These kids don't know Kelly from a hill of beans. I think it's wise to have a transition period so the players can get acclimated to the new coach.......JMHO.

Coaching is what held ND back last year IMO, not a lack of talent. The roster he'd have now at Notre Dame would have just as much, if not more talent than his current Cincy roster....it's all about the SYSTEM! Kelly's system has proven to win, he's proven this throughout the year (plugging in Collaros for Pike and not missing a beat offensively). The defense will be an issue as it always is with a Brian Kelly coached team so he'd have to make the right pick at DC. To say Kelly isn't walking into a better situation at ND is just assinine. Better tradition, better school, better campus, better stadium, better players, better ability to recruit etc.....People say that recruits don't want to come to South Bend, the city of Cincinnati isn't much better folks. Not exactly everyone's dream destination. Like I said before, the only reason Kelly doesn't take the ND job is if he'd rather beat up on the Big East every year and have an easier road to the NC. I'd much rather play Rutgers and Louisville every year than USC. Big East coaches haven't fared well at other jobs out of the conference recently so Kelly might not want to leave his cozy confines. He'll get offered, and if he's up to the job he'll take it.

I know he'll probably leave to go if he takes the job, but its not fair to the kids to have to prepare without the best possible coaches that they could have at their disposal for the biggest game in program history to date....
Would you rather have Brian Kelly and his staff coaching you for this game or an interim guy and a staff full of GA's like West Virginia did a few years ago for the Fiesta Bowl(eventhough that worked out REALLY well for them)?

I post some stupid shit but this is the dumbest stuff I have ever read. Let me fill you in, it is about the kids. Its their sport. That said career is football games.
It's their sport, but its his career whether you like it or not.
If someone is offering to blow your salary out of the water, are you going to take it to better your life and family?

according to CFN, it is just a matter of time before kelly is made officially the new coach of notre dame...
I wonder when these coaches will start realizing big names are no longer the golden positions in football. You can win, which I'm assuming is still the goal, just as many games at other schools.

The end will not be that long. ND kills coaches.
