Turner went up for a dunk, got fouled (not maliciously), and lost the rim and fell on his back. He walked off the court but the injury didn't look too great.

Definitely VERY scary, still waiting for a report on his status. In other news, Ohio State having no problem with Eastern Michigan, now up 38-17 with about 5:30 left in the 1st half.

Just reported that they're taking Turner to the hospital for x-rays.....

Ohio State still up 62-25 at the half. Even without Turner, this offense is just a well-oiled machine.

I would imagine that he's fine. Just a scary fall and probably pretty sore.

Just flipped over to check the score and I hear about his injury.

Need him back for Big 10 play, this team is average at best without him.

In the meantime, P.J. Hill has a career high in points and Buford is hitting some outside shots. The team is stepping up so far.

Turner being taken to OSU Medical Center for X-ray on lower back. Sore, OSU spokesman said, but walked out of arena on his own.

Well I would have to say this just sealed the deal for him leaving early. He has talked about a possibility of coming back, but after this there is no way.

After this? I'm sure the XRays are precautionary, and it's just one of those basketball accidents that happen. It's scary, but he'll be fine.

I hope your right. But i was at the game, and he came down straight on his back as hard as i have seen anyone come down. He was withering in pain immediately. He did get up and walk, but it was very slow and he was in quite a bit of pain. I sure hope he is ok for him, and OSU.

I was right down there courtside 2nd row when it happened it looked awfully scary when it happened. You could hear the whole arena gasp at once and it fell dead silent. It sounds like he is just sore. At least we got a week before our next game thanks to finals week. We'll need him vs. Butler

Wow, this is a huge blow to OSU. What a bummer to a very promising season. Hate to say, any chance at Big Ten just went down the tubes. I am just hopeful OSU can make the NCAA now.
I knew when he went down, and could hardly walk off the court that it was somewhat serious.

No chance. OSU will struggle to score points. 50 might be the new average.

Why would Turner come back for an NIT bid. I think we've seen the last of Evan Turner.

This really sucks. . . heart goes out to the kid. . . with the stats he was putting up, he was sure to be an All-American, possibly in the running for POY.
