Why do you think it was added? Because people don't want you posting on this thread.

centralbucksfan;715274 wrote:Bottom line, Kelly was/is ULTIMATELY responsible. He is he head coach and runs the football program. That being said, it was an accident and he should NOT step down or lose his job. I think thats been pretty much decided already.
This was one of those freak, tragic accidents where people learned a hard lesson and will now be more aware of situations like this.
sleeper;715456 wrote:An investigation? OHSA found someone negligent, how hard is it to find the direct boss of the camera crew? I bet he's on payroll somewhere, this is merely ND giving lip service to "ND takes FULL responsibility".

dwccrew;715688 wrote:So if they know, don't you think the university should hold that person accountable? I'm sorry, but if someone displayed negligence in this manner (that ultimately cost someone their life) then that person should be, at a minimum, relieved of their duties. What's your point that we will never know? How do you know we will never know? If the university is still conducting an ongoing investigation, it is safe to say that the possibility that someone is fired is still out there. If that happens it will be made public and we will know who the direct supervisor of Sullivan was.
I understand your blind allegiance to ND, but try to look at this from a nuetral standpoint. Someone has to be punished by NOTRE DAME. The school has to maintain an image, IMO, that they have control and that they will not accept or tolerate negligent employees.

dat dude;716259 wrote:It's not a trick question, so I'm not sure what there is to "bite" on. But just on its face, it proves:
1) Tressel is aware of severe weather conditions.
2) He considers those conditions when factoring in the safety of his cameramen/crew.
3) If he doesn't feel its safe for the cameramen, he will move the practice indoors.
4) He has the authority to make the decision as to whether practice outdoors or indoors.
5) He takes responsibility for the safety of his cameramen.
killer_ewok;716293 wrote:Good for him. That still doesn't make him responsible for a weather related accident to a cameraman. Again, that just means that he thought of it.

elbuckeye28;716623 wrote:I think that he is ultimately responsible(comes with the territory of being a head coach), but he is not 100% responsible. As I said before, I'm sure Kelly feels absolutely horrible about the incident, and it will be something that he will have to deal with for the rest of his life. That is a punishment far worse than not being the coach at ND. He(and others around the country) will learn from this mistake and hopefully this does not happen at ND or any other university again.

Pick6;717080 wrote:Proof are you serious? Maybe you forgot that Kelly coached a team called Cincinnati before he coached at "Our Lady"..to refresh your memory he told his team he wasnt going anywhere just to bail on them before a BCS game.
I'd rather have a coach lie to protect his players than lie and screw his players over.
rock_knutne;717087 wrote:Wow!!!!!!!! You want to talk about being seriuos. LMFAO!!!!!
How did Kelly lie to his players at Cincy? What does any coach say when he's being pursued by another school to take over their program, especially when it's a monumental step up? Laughable!
AND.......if you think Tressel lied to protect his players I have a bridge I want to sell you!
You explained JACK SHIT! All coaches in that position say the exact same thing.......can you comprehend that? Probably not seeing as you believe Tressel lied to protect his players.Pick6;717097 wrote:I just explained how he lied. If you cant comprehend that, I dont know what to tell you.
