I was on the road this evening and turning the dial looking for a station talking about the "situation". I came across a Columbus AM station, don't know which one, and LeCharles Bentley was being interviewed.

LeCharles Bentley has done some work for BTN, has a radio show in Columbus and has a personal training business. He has access to The Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Knowing football players would be working out and talking, he went down there this morning to see what was happening. He said all of the incoming Freshman who graduated early and enrolled at Ohio State this winter, offered that they now were POSITIVE they made that right decision to come to Ohio State. They now knew for sure that Tressel "had their back". The only thing that would make any of them leave would be if Ohio State got the "death penalty".

So when the players said that Tressell "had their back" I take it to mean the players feel that if Tressell finds out they are doing wrong he will not turn them in.

That is how I take that statement

The situation was getting suspended and fined for NOT REPORTING. This was a caused of his own action. Not because he found out about the Tat 5, but because he found out and hid it and never reported.

And again, maybe he chose those actions for the betterment of all involved, Feds and players. Thats what no one knows.

and again...he most likely chose those actions because it involved his star QB in a season they had a great chance at wining it all. That wht no one knows.

However you want to perceive is fine with me. I am not making a judgment, just an observation. Whatever Tressel's reasons were, only he truly knows. What I am pointing out is that he COULD have avoided the situation entirely if he would have decided to take a different action. That's all I am saying. JT had his reasons for what he did and I'm not going to pretend to know why, but I do know that his situation is a direct result of the actions he took (for whatever reason he took them).

You're right- I was being sarcastic with a few who were tossing the term "thug" around here very loosely.
