I am 100% certain that Craft is a better defensive PG than any of PG in the B10.

Add that he is the #5 scoring option when on the floor (#4 with Lauderdale in) he isn't going to have high ppg average. He isn't needed to score like a Morris, Taylor, Lucas, Battle who are either the #1 or #2 scoring options and all rank in the Top 10. Although Craft's ppg went up during the B10 play.

Craft is #6 in assits, but OSU is also the only team with 3 players in the Top 15 for assits (Lighty and Buford ranked).

Craft is #1 in steals by 13 total as he is above 2 spg.

The only real negative is his turnover to assit ratio but he makes up the possessions with his steals on the defensive end.

Hes good on defense yes, i am not denying that at all. But its not out of the question to compare those other Pgs i listed to him.

I didnt say there were 6-7 better, I said there were 6-7 just as good

I wouldn't call Oden elite on defense, and I would not call Sully elite at defense either. Sully, offensively, is way better on generating his own shots than Oden will ever be. Oden needs a quick PG like Conley to put up great stats, Sully just needs the ball.

I don't need stats.....watching is enough for me. Sully has better footwork, vision, jumper, and I'm sure he is better at the foul line....but not positive on that one.

So since u edited it, i might as well respond again.

Again, I get it hes good at defense.

You saying that 2 other people are top 15 in assists just proves that OSU has a wide open offense and are not dependent on Craft at all to get going. Doesnt exactly help his case

Hes a damn good point guard, hes just comparable to the MAJORITY of Pgs in the big 10. Aside from Purdue, Indiana, Minny(since nolan is injured) and Iowa

Oden needs a quick PG like Conley to put up great stats, Sully just needs the ball.
Did you watch the National Championship game? Oden dominated on the blocks against Noah, Horford, and Speights. All of them NBA players.

Oden played to his offensive potential in one game and he looked awkward doing it. Sullinger is better than Oden, in every aspect of the game of a back to the basket player except for shot blocking. And Sullinger has better feet, better hands and is a MUCH better passer out of the post and has a better basketball IQ.

Could not agree more.

The only advantage Oden has over Sully(right now) is defensive. But I also think a lot of that has to do with him being a 7 footer.

STOP with the who's better or more important to this TEAM. If Ohio State did not have Sullinger OR did not have Craft OR did not have Lighty OR did not have Buford OR did not have Diebler OR even Lauderdale. They would have at least SIX Big Ten losses. This is a TRUE TEAM and are as good as they are because they are a TRUE TEAM. There isn't a selfish bone in the body of this TEAM, all they want to do is win. There are 6 players on this TEAM(counting Thomas) who go for 25+ points on any given night and when his teammates see that player is in a zone ALL of them make every effort to get that player the ball in a spot where he can score.

ALL of the players on this TEAM would guffaw at the thought or suggestion of who's more important.

It wasn't weak. We never got to see a 100% healthy Oden until maybe the final game. And guess what, Oden was a freak, bigger, stronger, etc, etc. You can't discount that. I mean if such and such a guy didn't have quickness, or this or that. YOu can't take away those physical traits. If Sully was only 210..he wouldn't be near as good either.
Bottom line, offensively, the stats are almost identical. Defensively, Oden was a MONSTER. His presence alone on defense was a huge advantage. Is Sully more talented offensively? Yes he is. But Oden was a man amoungst boys. No, not Shaq...but Shaq was very raw..but he was bigger ans stronger, thus dominated. I'd take Oden in a heart beat over Sully as my post player because of what he was able to do on both ends of the court.

The only reason I disagree with you is because Oden could never stay healthy. (at any level I think) I'd take a season of a healthy Sullinger over a partial season of Oden.

Where are you getting 210? On Odens high school scout page he's listed at 240 and I assume he put on some more weight once getting to OSU.

He was listed at 280 when he was at OSU.
