The Situation actually comes off as kinda witty in the Conan clip. We summer vacate in Manasquan every year since I was little. From Avalon south to Manasquan we always called it the "Irish Riviera". Way more Micks than Guidos. Guidos usually hang a little further north up around Asbury Park and Longbranch.

I admit, Snookie getting dropped was absolutely hysterical.

I rarely feel compelled to defend Jersey (even though my parents live in quiet, lake communities in scenic Northern NJ), but no one in that cast is even from NJ. I have met plenty of Jersey douchebags, but I wouldn't use this silly show as a gauge for the rest of the state's residents.

It would be the equivalent of having a reality show in Newark, Ohio and thinking everyone from Ohio is a slackjawed-yokul.
