yeah, all good parents publicly humiliate their children. sounds like this mom doesn't have her shit in order, i bet if she was going some actual parenting she would of prevented the bathtub from being destroyed, or might have known not to let the kids play with these specific toys in the bathtub. Who the fuck holds a six year old financially responsible? A dipshit thats who.

it also doesnt surprise me she tried to confront someone from 4chan. how can an obvious attention whore, complain about getting that attention?

Since you are an expert on parenting, how do you punish your children when they break something while they are acting like a little child?

There is no better deterrent than public humiliation. These kids will laugh about it the rest of their lives. They won't need "therapy"...lol...Jesus.

and for all you "well she should have stopped the before the damage happened" apologists...did you ever think maybe Mom was working to be able to buy these little crumb crunchers their $12 bag of toys and the babysitter was responsible? No, you just assumed.

You Dr. Phil/Oprah's are crazy...you can't swat a kid in the ass in the store without having child protection services show up at your door, now you take a pretty creative form of punishment, and one that will be way more effective and want to hang the mom from the rafters because of it...SMH

I'm the parent, I run the damn show, not some six year old who owes their existence, and everything they "own" to me and the wife.

I have no problem with punishment and if my kid got out of hand he was punished and we stuck to it but I have a problem with putting your personal life out there for everyone to see and posting pictures of your kid on Ebay for the sole purpose of trying to get more money for some cheap toys, she should have just listed the toys for sale without all the drama of her life and proved her point to her kids.

you have a pretty sick sense of the parent child relationship. they didn't choose to be brought in, im pretty sure you and your wife can "own" up to that one.

You're assuming she posted with the sole purpose of gaining more money than you think it deserves. That's your opinion, doesn't make it a fact. She (and the kids) will be laughing all the way to the bank even if true. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Sorry, but that's some lame reasoning. You can't get away with anything you want and then just blame it on being a child. Should children be able to break everything in the house as long as it's just because they are playing and acting like kids? It won't be happening in my house if/when I have children. Perhaps she had already warned them about playing with those specific toys in the tub and they didn't listen...ever think about that?

I agree with ytown...nothing wrong with a little public humiliation. When my brothers or I would block the driveway with our cars my stepdad would park them uptown and we would have to walk up there to get them. When you are 16/17/18 years old and the entire town is watching it's not exactly a fun moment. But guess what...it worked. When we left things out he would throw them away and we'd have to go through the trash to find them. Want to guess how long it took us to stop leaving things lay? This whole business with time outs and coddling is BS. I will spank my kids, I will ground them, take away phones, video games, cars and anything else they think they "need" and I won't hesitate to embarrass them if the situation calls for it.

I would think that if she warned them about the toys and they kept doing it then she should have taken them away or grounded them but we will never know if she did. Did you ever think about that?

I do agree with you on the time outs and coddling BS because it doesn't accomplish anything.

The only ones laughing are the people that will recognize the kids in their school and town.
She had to cancel the listing and will be harrassed for some time so I don't think anyone will be laughing all the way to any bank.

I was back handed a couple of times in public and I learned my lesson. It doesn't make my mom a bad person. Today's world is just soft. I got my ass beat many times by my parents and I never thought about calling on them. I would have rather them sold my toys then getting my ass beat or backhanded.

Oh come on now how many little kids that young are actually able to get on ebay or watch the news? She might catch crap over it but the only way the kids will is if some big mouthed parent runs their mouths to their kids.

On a side note as a Mom of 5 I can tell you that sometimes you can't see every single thing your kids get into every single min. of the day. I know that there are times I put my kids' toys up because they've been irresponsible etc. and they have found what I put up and have gotten into them. They never saw those toys again. As for destruction of property I have had my kids pay for what they have broken...even if that meant we handed them their allowance and they had to hand it right back to us.

A lot but for different things by my mom (single mom)

I remember getting a spanking in church a lot because I would ALWAYS do something. Sleep, laugh, talk, not pay attention, play in the floor, farting on the wooden pew and LOLing about it. I did everything once or twice and never did it again.

When I was 14, I snuck out of the house and got punched by my mom. The one and only time I snuck out. At the time I was upset, but I repsect/ed her a lot more for it.

My grandparents were both from SE Kentucky and very much thought that the entire family was responsible for you. No joke, I was at my great aunt's house and misbehaved. My great aunt spanked me. My grandma later spanked me for being bad at someone else's house. My mom THEN spanked me for being bad enough for my grandma to spank me. Essentially 3 for 1 thing. Now, that's embarrassing.

You are joking about kids not watching the news, how about older kids making fun of them. They will forever be known as the "BeyBlade Brothers" so it may not be all that bad.

I think your side note is perfect and we have done the same with our child but we just don't put our family business out there for everyone to see because it is our business.
