We are selling 8 Beyblades, 2 of them light up. As you can tell they are not happy about this! They have been using their bathtub as a "battle arena" and Beyblades + Bathtub = Destruction!!! With the metal ones they managed to scrape the enamel off the tub, take a chunk of tub out and break off the soap holder. SO if you "win" this auction DON'T play with in a bathtub!!! We have recieved a quote of $500.00 to replace the tub, some tiles, and soap holder + labor of course! They had approxamently $125.67 in their piggy banks that will be going to toward the cost. We will use the profit from this auction towards the balance and then it is onto other toys!

And now she's a bad mom. I think it's a pretty creative idea, and a lesson they won't soon forget. Might do without the pic, but it did make me lol.

Creative punishment, nothing wrong with what the mom did in my opinion.

Only in our current "call CSB" society is she labeled as a bad mom for this.

They're kind of like Battling Tops (if anyone remembers those). If you go halfway down the page there is a video. Then onto the comments which are all pretty much bashing her. I almost want my kids to screw up so I can do this to them. ;)

Not me but I have a 9 year old son.

Great punishment. I don't even see how anyone could say this is bad parenting.

Not sure if she is telling the truth as to why she is selling the toys. She is very smart and will find someone to pay more than what the toy's are worth because she is going to play off of everyones emotions and someone will pay what she needs to fix her tub and also help the kids get out of trouble because people like to feel good about themselves when they help a kid out.

lol, I remember once as a teenager (mebbe 14 or so) being told to clean my room. I got the ole "if you don't clean your room I will!" Well, several days went by, and being told by mom to clean it a total of 3 times. I don't remember exactly why I didn't...perhaps just being lazy and/or rebellious. One day, came home from school and guess what... Mom cleaned my room. Everything that was on the floor, not put away and all that was gone. Just ... gone. She gathered up all the clothes and washed them while I was at school and took them down to the SA, and threw away what was left. She didn't play. After that, I kept my room clean!

I say congrats to this mom as it looks like she ain't playing the game, either!

But I have to wonder... why did she let them do all that and destroy her property to begin with?!

I don't have a problem with proper punishment but I think she just wanted some attention by posting the whole reason why she was selling the toys and that the new tub would cost over $500.00.Why post that her kids only have $125.00 in their piggy bank and the money from the toys would be used with their savings to help pay for the repairs? She tried to use emotional marketing and it back fired. She could have just listed the toys for sale on ebay and proved her point but she got greedy.

Yeah my mom did the same thing to some of my toys that I left on the floor when I was 10. She was sure to remind me afterwards how the kids who would get them would appreciate the toys much more than I did. I never had a problem cleaning up after myself after that.

So you think it is right to post her kids picture on the internet for everyone to see while they are crying ? I wonder how many times they will be made fun of at school and get picked on in public before they end up in therapy but we live in a society today that likes to announce there personal lives minute by minute to the whole world on facebook and the internet.Maybe the next thing she can do is list the extra condoms that they have in the bedroom night stand for sale and explain that she is selling them because her husband doesn't have sex with her often enough. She could tell everyone on ebay that she will use the money from the sale to purchase a new vibrator and teach her husband a lesson and let's not forget to post a picture of her husband standing there crying for the world to see.
