I will admit that I was one of those who believed the dept on the team wasn't a concern. Now I am starting to change my view. As I said earlier on this thread, its seem as though the last few games, teams are starting to complete/beat Ohio State because they keep fresh bodies on the floor and play at a fast pace. .
Last few games? MSU threw all they had at OSU, subbing freely...OSU won by 10pts. Wisky top players all played 36+ min vs OSU, this on only two day rest, and they were not tired while OSU had a week of rest. And 90% of both of those games, was played in the half court...not at a fast pace. Sorry, I don't buy into the being being tired thing. There are more timeouts in a game for players to get a rest then I can count at times. And today, Buford had plenty of rest, and was a non factor.
Bottom line, OSU just went into the two toughest places to play in the Big Ten, and lost to pretty good teams. It just happened to be within the last 3 games they played these teams.
And, both of those games were MUST WIN games for Wisky and Purdue. They were not for OSU.
Go to guy? Its Sullinger, no question. But I am confident just about any of the other guys can make plays when needed. I mean they have done it 25 out of 27 games.
