The Boilermakers aren't going to forget what happened to them in Columbus. This should be a great game. The key for Purdue is finding that 3rd contributor to help out.

Bucks by 6.

That motive will only last about the first two minutes of the game. Then its just about basketball, who executes and who makes the plays when needed. Not sure I have a feeling one way or the other about this game. As mentioned, if Purdue doesn't have a 3rd player show up, OSU should win this game. Johnson will get his 20, and Moore will get his more than likely. As long as one of those players doesn't go off for 30, OSU will be right there. But If there is another "L" left on the schedule, this could be it.

Not always. Sometimes, being butchered on the road like a lamb can result in a motivation from within that drives a team's execution by sheer will.

Early in the 2001 season, Virginia went into Cameron Indoor Stadium with Roger Mason Jr. and Travis Watson and left 101 to 64 losers. It was a joke, and could have been 60. Three weeks later, in the rematch, Shane Battier goes for 24, Chris Duhon 20, Jason Williams 15, the Blue Devils hit 12 three-pointers and Duke loses by a field goal in Charlottesville.

Desire is powerful thing.

Purdue just got done taking down Wisky. This game willl be a battle and more than likely could end with a Boiler win.

Just saw that - and Wisky shoots blanks from behind the arc going 3-19 after being on fire vs. the Bucks.

I like how OSU matches up with the Boilers and, assuming the play is like it has been all season, believe the Bucks come home with a W on Saturday. However, it will be far from easy.

Seems like that always happens lol. A team shoots lights out and then the next game, can't hit the broad side of a barn.

Thats the difference between playing at home, and playing on the road.

And the good thing about Purdue, is that they are not a great three point shooting team. I like the matchup as well. But again, Purdue is a pretty good team, and its at their place.
The game is Sunday btw. ;)

..and that also reaffirms that OSU has a huge target on their backs, and that beating them can alter a season for most teams, and also gives them that "extra motivation" mentioned above...beating the Buckeyes looks might good on the resume of teams on the bubble

As long as JuJuan Johnson is the only boilermaker making a big impact like last game, bucks win it easy again. If Moore and/or other kids decide to show up this time, it will be close.

And actually, by the time Johnson got going last time vs OSU...the game was pretty much in hand. I am not sure he even scored the first 10 of the game. By that time, OSU was rolling.

Whoa - thanks for the heads up. I'll be in Nashville for the weekend and had Saturday planned out so I could see the game. ha

I look for Sullinger to be a force in this one after a rather quiet game vs. MSU. Purdue has a lot but they don't have the interior muscle it takes to handle a big body who can score - or pass if he gets doubled. I hope the Bucks have worked on defending the high screen and roll. Teams are now trying to get their PG some breathing room away from Craft by either pick & pop (Wisky) or pick & roll (MSU). Particularly Wisky was able to get a switch out front to where Buford or someone ended up on Taylor - who scored off those, igniting confidence in his teammates. A tough thing to defend if executed properly.

This one would have me worried, but I don't think the Bucks have really played up to their potential since the 1st Purdue game. There's always been one thing or another that keeps their opponent in the game. I'm hoping that they are firing on all cylinders Sunday. If so, it could be another beat down. Let Johnson and Moore get their averages, but shut down everyone else. Another must is penetration by the OSU backcourt. Too many good things happen when our guards get into the lane.

If Craft can do his usual lockdown on Jackson, that will be huge in this game. Purdue has been playing well as of late because Jackson has stepped up to help out Johnson and Moore. Jackson was not good vs OSU in last game. He is the key to Purdue and their recent success.

Bucks by 3. I expect a tough game, with a lot of runs by both teams, but someone from OSU steps it up in the final minutes and saves the day.

Bucks are going to have their hands full. Johnson is going to get his, just have to limit Moore and the rest of the Boilers.

This is like a nooner Buck football game, difference is they usually push marquee matchups to 3:30. Once the first couple are down though it'll be smooth sailing. Purdue has not lost at home this season, going to be a war.

I want to see more diamond traps in the back court and some better interior defense. This Purdue team will be out to get us after we throttled them a few weeks ago. Going to be a close one..Bucks by 5.
