Fan favorite, Jhonny Peralta just collected his 1,000 career hit. A double to left versus the Royals.

Dan UGGLA just hit a bomb off Doc in the bottom of the 8th to put the Bravos up 3-2. UGGLA has scored all 3 runs. Kimbrel on to attempt to close out the game and series...

Doc gets no run support once again throwing his 2nd consecutive complete game....Hurt not having Victorino in the line-up today who has been killing Braves pitching.

Halladay didn't look as sharp as normal today. Walked a couple guys and had a few other 3 ball counts too and fell behind more often. I fully expected him to slam the door after Mayberry's HR, but he walked UGGLA leading off the bottom of the inning.

Not many games where "Doc" is going to throw 45 balls. Even so, he threw a complete game.

Yeah. Regular A, not A+ level. I read an article on Yahoo a week or so ago that said that the only guy in his league with a better OPS was Matt Curry from Pittsburgh's West Virginia affiliate. With the minor difference that Harper is what...18 or 19? While Curry is 23.

I'm sick of BOS/NYY. There were two other series this weekend in Cincinnati and Atlanta that could have easily garnered some primetime attention, but we get 3 straight nights of Red Sox vs Yankees.

He is 17 I believe.

Edit: There are conflicting dates on his wikipedia page. Under his profile it says he was born in 1993, but in the first paragraph it says he was born in 1992. I am going to guess 1992 is correct, so he is 18.

Baseball Reference has his birthday as October of 1992, probably a little more reliable than Wiki. 18 it is.

Keep Harper down for 3-4 more years...it was brutal to watch the careers of Jr, Arod and Pudge coming up at such a ridiculous age.

I wouldn't call it a bomb, Howard's the other night was a bomb.
