^^Just going off another site information, the person on there is positive this is happening. I know it is just talk plus deadline for the job is tomorrow I cannot believe they would do it this way? But I guess if he is the AD and wants to come back who is to stop him? One last thing, when the opening come open he told a close friend of mine he had no interest in the job but I guess he can always change his mind.

Well it might happen, but it is a lose-lose if it does.

Riebe seemed to be doing just as many, if not more, head coaching "activities" during the tournament game I saw as Geiser was. Talking in huddles, barking out plays during the game, talking to kids on the bench, etc.

I would not be suprised at all if Riebe takes the job.

His boy will be entering high school soon and we have seen a lot of father/son..coaching/playing scenarios across the entire state.
Its makes it easier for the district also IMO. Hire just a teacher to fill the classroom position and Riebe is already in house..

The only question mark I think for Riebe will be what kind of talent is coming??? I know his own son is a player and I think that 7th or 8th grade class his boy plays on won the WCAL this year..but what is talent like in front of and behind him??? that can either draw a coach in or away!

Here is an idea. Maybe Riebe takes over they still hire a coach that is a teacher, bring him into the school and be Riebe's assistant, then in a couple of years or so Riebe steps down and lets the assistant take over?

I have a family member that works in the Southeast (Waynedale) district and ..."Eric Riebe will be the basketball coach" were the words!

Thanks Old Rider, I heard the news as well good luck to coach Riebe. I was a little surprised he wanted to come back after talking to some Waynedale people but I hope it all works out.
