I have no doubt we'll be focused on stopping Wasson and Winters, or at least slowing them down since it's so hard to "stop" them. If that involves a 2-3 zone or a box-and-1 with someone constantly fronting the big man on the block, I wouldn't be surprised. One thing we need to account for is Wasson stepping out and hitting the 3, which he has done all year and also a few times in the district semifinal against Hillsdale. If we can force their guards to take shots they are uncomfortable taking, we might be in better shape than if we allowed them to get comfortable by getting the ball into Wasson's hands. That's the key, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, though - even though the key is the post players, both teams' guards still will play an integral part in the game if they want to win. Who can hit the open shots when they have them? Who can take care of the ball? If the game is close late, who can hit the free throws?

In the end, anything can happen! If Orrville or we come out in something that doesn't work, we may see something totally different after halftime. Either way, it's going to be a fun game to watch!

Go Titans!

Here's a tip....if Orrville gets up by...say 10+ in the first half, with a clear height/athletic advantage, for the love of God, DO NOT try to slow the game down and play right into Triway's hands.

Still remember that 2005 game over at the Fieldhouse.

We're not a team to take long possessions.....we can be smart and still be on the attack. Don't stall. That's not our style.

Pit, I doubt you can force the guards to take shots. They haven't all season. LOL The key is if we get behind. If Triway shoots poorly outside we win. If the game comes down to foul shots we lose.

Post game meetup at BW3's. I'll be there win or lose. I'm sure plenty of basketball games will be on.

Go Riders.

I'll be at BW3's post game. I will meet up with you RR1 and whoever else shows up. I will be there with my wife, it is her birthday and to prove what a classy guy I am, I will take her to BW3's to talk some high school basketball. Actually, I am hoping she drinks a few rum and Cokes and I can give her the rest of her present when we get home. HI YO!!!!! Seriously, here is an etiquette question: I have a coupon for free food, do I use it on a birthday date?

Sadly, we have a previous commitment which won't allow us to attend the game, but I will try to catch as much as possible on the Radio. WKVX AM 960.

Good luck to both teams, this is becoming a great annual tradition.

I will be at BW's tonight, as well! I'll need someone to save me a seat, though, since I might have to stay in the gym a little bit longer to finish up some things.

to keep from any injuries @ BW's...red seating will be in the front, purple in the back!
good luck to both teams. Neat to see you both get this far again.
Someone is going to have to get to state to get a winning record here!

In order to have a winning (over .500) record, someone will have to WIN state! A state finals loss would have either team finish at 14-14.

Triway in the rear, huh?

Sounds right.

I'm guessing Friday night at BW's during March Madness will be pretty crowded. Might be jungle rules in terms of seating. Probably wont be able to secure a big table. I'll sit wherever there's a table, and we'll make do.

Who says chivalry is dead?

Free food coupon?? Why didn't you say so, that's a horse of a different color.

I get free food from BWs every year on my birthday and even signed my wife up ( but she won't go there ) so I use her's also, plus the free wings from their receipts, so it looks like 2 trips in 1 day ( watched the Buckeys at noon ) for free wings.

Does BW's take reservations or at least call-ahead seating? If so, who is on that?

Witty retort.

Oh wait, that is where the bar is at. So yeah I will be in the rear, right by the bar. And when I see your waitress come to pick up the round of Zimas your table has ordered I'll trip her.

Packed house tonight! There were 2 lines - one for Triway and 1 for Orrville - both lined up from the gym entrance to the swimming pool windows with 10 minutes to go before the doors opened at 6:00! Not many empty seats in the house, that's for sure. It should be a great game. 8 minutes until tip-off.

Good luck Titans! Beat the Red Riders!
