A 15 year-old was shot in the head outside of the Diamond Cellar at Easton Town Center. How sad.

Apparently you have never been to the ghetto before....take a short drive through downtown Detroit one day.....then you get to understand what a ghetto is.

Easton is most certainly not a ghetto. Ghetto = I'm afraid to drive through it.LJ;676322 wrote:Im gonna get slammed for this, but easton is ghetto. Not surprised

worked tonight there, it was a crazy scene for sure. I didn't see the shooting, but saw a stampede of 200 black dudes/girls running towards the shooting. If that doesn't explain to you the status of easton at night, I don't know what will

Soon the new mall will be built in Sunbury or somewhere even further north. I believe me and LJ have already discussed this before

Shows the intelligence level of some people. Why in the hell would you run towards a shooting?DeyDurkie5;676362 wrote:worked tonight there, it was a crazy scene for sure. What I find hilarious is most people on here who don't live in Columbus are disagreeing with me, yet on another local forum, people from all walks of life who live in Columbus agree that Easton gets very ghetto at night. Most people who have visited from out of town don't realize that the mall is surrounded by section 8 housing and other low income neighborhoods. Easton itself is not in a nice area, and it wasn't nice before Easton either. Then, when Northland shut down, the city fought with Easton and made them install bus stops, so COTA runs from all over the city to Easton, and especially with quick local service from the close neighborhoods. Easton is the lowlife thug hangout of the east side on a nightly basis. It's not being racist or anything like that, it is just the truth. They have their own security force and hire as many special duty CPD as they possibly can, and they still cannot control the problems they have.

You pretty much just described North Hill in Akron. I live there. Shady for the AREA doesn't mean ghetto.
If you asked people in Irvine whether or not Long Beach was ghetto, they'd probably say yes, because they're comparing it to their own area. That's a limited scope. If the people in Columbus are looking at it by comparing it to the rest of Columbus, then yes. They'll think it's ghetto. If you go by the country as a whole, it's not really that ghetto.
People in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls call North Hill and Elizabeth Park ghetto. If you're just comparing them to the rest of Akron, they are (with some other pocket areas in Akron as well), but again, that's a narrow scope.

I mean it's probably not Youngstown, but that doesn't mean it isn't ghetto.

Whatever you want to think. I mean, you do realize that Columbus isn't some super safe clean city right? Saying that an area is bad compared to the rest of Columbus is not just over exaggerating. Columbus is the 7th most dangerous city out of cities 500k+.
