Look at what they built around him and what that supporting cast is doing now without him. They did an AWFUL job of building a team around him, his greatness just made you believe they did a good job. He made all of those guys better than they are, now you see what they really are. Jamison was the best player they brought in to play with him--not good enough. Outside of that it was Mo. Mo isn't shit without him, wasn't that great before he played with LeBron.

This is coming from the same dumb ass who defended the moves made by the Cavs for the last 7 years, now suddenly they didn't do anything?

This post is from the same dude who said guys like Andy, Mo, etc.. Would be in the HOF... LMAO.

GTFO of here with that bs SQ, you really are an idiot.

You dipped out when the going got tough and people started calling your dream crush a quitter.

Hmm, going gets tough....bolts.... Yep, I think you really do idolize LeBron lol!

That's interesting. I actually bolted for my own reason, though I don't expect you to believe me. Nor do I care if you do.

For the record, I was always a LeBron fan. Only a Cavs fan BECAUSE of LeBron. I defended moves they made, because they did improve. I couldn't say they weren't improving and not defend the moves when the roster was looking better and better. I couldn't be critical of them not making moves that weren't available to them. They couldn't bring another big dog into Cleveland. That's what it takes to win in the NBA these days. They COULDN'T do it. They tried. Everyone thought, man guys would love to come play with LeBron. No. Guys would love to play with LeBron but don't want to play in Cleveland. That's how it really was.

And get your facts straight, you can hate on me all you want--that's so last year. But I never said guys like Andy and Mo would be in the HOF. Don't put words in my mouth and call me the idiot in the same post--you look very foolish. Although a lot of things I said on this site were misinterpreted or were just flat out taken a certain way without ever giving me a chance to explain things. And when I did, I was either backtracking or trying to make myself look better. As if I cared what anyone here thought about me. But it's all good brother. I say to you, get over it. Quit dwelling in the past, even though I know it's hard for you to think about the present or the future. The past is much more exciting for a Cavs fan.

Bottom line is, you're only upset with me because I'm a LEBRON fan. I'm an easy target. I say boohoo, at least I DO stick to my guns. And guess what, my NBA season has been filled with joy and yours has probably been something like getting your face pissed on. Unless you like that sort of thing, wouldn't shock me. You Cleveland fans like some weird things, losing apparently being one of them.

Sq, the Cavs would have won the championship last year had Lebron not quit on the team in the postseason. They proved clearly they were by far the most dominant team in the NBA last year. The pieces were 100% there.

Um, no, they weren't. If you honestly think he quit on them then arguing with you isn't worth my time.

He had a shitty game 5. Every player in the HOF has shitty games on their record. Even Jordan. But sorry, you don't get a triple double in your last game when you quit. That's just a thing that Cleveland fans want to believe to make them feel better. No player has ever "quit" in any game and stilled pulled down 19 boards, ESPECIALLY a perimeter guy. He did everything he could, bottom line is, after him the next 4 best players on the floor were wearing green.

I can't possibly fathom how someone with any working knowledge of basketball can Lebron didn't quit. Mysterious elbow injury anyone?

Say that in Cleveland you'll get your ass kicked. But you probably won't leave Salem so it's all good.

I can't possibly fathom how someone with any working basketball knowledge can think he did quit. I can't understand how you don't understand that they didn't win the series because after LeBron, the best players in the series were Rondo, KG, Pierce and Allen. They were all in green FYI. I don't understand how you think that you can quit and still pull down a triple double with NINETEEN boards in your last game.

Regardless, it's over, what's done is done so lets move on...shall we?

Oh, and BTW, I'll say that anywhere I want to. In fact I have some GREAT seats to Heat @ Cavs in March. And I'll be wearing this:

All I have to say is good luck. I was at the first Cavs-Heat game this season and let's just say that the few people that were wearing shirts/jerseys like that weren't exactly welcomed with open arms to the Q.

I can understand someone being a fan of a player as opposed to a team. With the internet and nationally televised games it's becoming more of the norm as more people can see different teams and different games. Personally I'm old school, I rooted for LeBron because he played for the Cavs not the other way around. Regardless of how he left, I wasn't going to root for him the minute he no longer wore Cleveland across his chest (though the way he left made it a LOT easier). Unlike what many believed the numbers seem to indicate that most Cavs fans are Cavs fans and not LeBron fans which is fine with me.

Exactly. He'd be smart to wear a raincoat. I'd expect to be showered with beer, at the least, if he makes it out of there with all of his teeth.

I guess the question that most comes to mind with this is what happens when that player retires? Do you become a fan of the team he was most recently on? The team he's most associated with, or was with the longest? The team he had the most success with? Do you find a new player and start rooting for his team? Just too much inconsistency for my liking. For all we know LeBron could take the Shaq route and end up on a few more teams before he retires leaving SQ with a whole lot of different jerseys.

I don't expect to be. I could really care less how I'm welcomed, I'm there to watch my guy play.

For pro sports I'm a player fan. I'm not going to be a Browns fan and secretly love watching Troy Polamalu play while I tell everyone how much I hate him. I've always been this way, except with baseball--but I am that way with baseball to an extent as well. College is different. But that's just me. Unreal how many people have a problem with it. Jealousy will get you nowhere I always say.

I cheer for the name on the front of the jerseys moreso than the name on the back. (as Bobby Knight would say at IU...you play for the name on the front of the jersey and thats why there is no name on the back).

If a favorite of mine leaves the team.....I may initially follow their progress but typically I will not root for them to succeed. Very rare will I root for a former player to do well. I think only once I have really wished a player well, and that was Rod Woodson for the steelers. Maybe that is because I remember seeing him on TV highlights in High School and then again in college at Purdue

He'll just bandwagon onto "the next big thing." What I find comical about the "I'm a fan of the player, NOT the team" thing is that is what little 8 year old kids do. Like a kid may like Polamalu or Peyton Manning. Most adults root for a team because they are mature enough. They don't pick and choose players to nuthug from various teams. It's kind of an infantile mindset, IMO.
