Not if it builds memories of friends and/or family gatherings.

This year obviously means more, given that my team is involved. Most years it's just another game that I enjoy watching for the grandness of the stage.

Not really, maybe actually NFL games. Plenty of arena football on in the spring. NCAA has spring ball in April. NFL rookie camp the week after the draft & OTAs in June.

To me it is the party of the year the night before. A local man runs a final score square pool. Actually there are two separate pools. One is $200 a square and the other is $250 a square. Pays out some big cash, but the night before, everyone that has a square is invite to a huge party with all the beer, well drinks, and food you care to consume. There is a group of great people and it is just a good time. Been a tradition for the last 5-6 years.

To me...it is the last football game of the season. Determines who will be immortalized and the target team that next season, and with the losing team teetering on becoming an also ran for a bit. Ya would think the losing SB team would still be a top contender that next year but it seems to not be the case...at least that is my perception.

I, of course, will watch it but do not attend any SB parties. If the steelers are playing in it then yeah, i will go to a friends party, but I am not like all these people who go to a SB isparty most years.

I love watching the SB. There is something to be said about a championship game decided ON THE FIELD in just one night. The other 3 sport of the big 4 can draw out the championship over two weeks. NCAA hoops is good as it plays it out with one finale. NCAA football....well that is a joke.

Super Bowl....the premiere event of all sports. One game. 3.5 hours and a champion is crowned...and earned on the field

Proof (as if any is needed) that TV runs sports, largely to the detriment of the game. Multi-hour pre-game followed by a ridiculous start time.
