Having fun with family and friends while eating a bunch of good food and drinking some booze (the booze part is new to the "around the family" part of the superbowl as I'm 21).

For me it means good food and hopefully a good game (though most Super Bowls are lopsided).

It means some great commercials you'll be talking about the next day.

It means getting to bed too late on a Sunday night (I've always thought that the day after the Super Bowl should be a holiday, at least in the Eastern times zone).

It means that the next day is the saddest day of the year because football is over until the fall, so I have to get my football fix thinking about the draft, reading about spring ball, and watching old games on the DVR or DVD.

Little to nothing. One of the more overrated sporting events of the year. I'd rather watch the NCAA Wrestling Finals or any decent college football game. The commercials are the best part, everything else is pretty much overly commercialized NFL garbage.

I can't remember the last one I watched entirely. It means college football has been over for a month or so. It means ESPN will be covering something I give a shit about very soon. It means a night to stay home and off the roads due to another barrage of amateurs on the roads. It means not having to walk by the overpriced bandwagon apparel prominently displayed in every store you frequent. It means a couple hillbilly's from work won't be in on Monday.

The food and drink is my favorite part. :D The Packers are my 14 year old's team, so we're cheering for them. Oh yeah, that and I hate the Steelers.

I'm going to go semantic on you. The Super Bowl cannot be an overrated sporting event because it is the biggest sporting event annually in America. It is overrated as a game. The actual game itself is almost secondary at this point, but as an event, a sporting event (the game with everything that comes along with it), it doesn't get any bigger.
