Went to the Columbus Brewing Co for dinner tonight. Disapointed in the IPA and 2XIPA, the scottish ale was good as was the blond lager. Stout was decent, I think it was maple creme. The bock was the third best beer they had IMHO.

I had Urthel Hop-It last night (winking lizard glass of the month). I thought it was a good well balanced beer, had lots of hop flavors without the huge punch. I could drink it all night and its 9.5 abv.

I had Victory HopDevil on tap too last night. It had the typical huge hop finish. It was ok, but I am just not a fan of those types of beers. Out of the bottle this would probably not be drinkable for me.

I have yet to meet a beer that I thought had too much hops.

About to finish a 4 pack of Founders Double Trouble; freaking awesome beer. Pretty sure I'm going to be nodding off soon.

Saw a 6 pack of Thirsty Dog 12 Dogs of Christmas Ale tonight but didn't buy it. Anyone ever had it and how good is it? It was like 12 bones. I noticed it was 8.3 percent. If it's pretty good I will go back and get some.

I like it a lot. jIt has a lot going on in it as far as spice load, sweetness, and other flavor profiles and yet manages to be pretty damn drinkable especially for 8.3%.

I'm game.

Looks like Hopslam made it back into Jungle Jim's. Nice thing since I was paying $8.00 a bottle at a pub for it here in Fairfield.

Did they have it on tap at the Beer Fest Justin ?

Had this. I don't think I have had many imperial pilsners. Reminded me of a hazy blonde IPA. Decent hop finish. Not bad, but not memorable.

Also note, I got the abby ale because my pallet was impaired from my hot wings. That's why I didn't try anything new.

313 Ommegang is great. I love their ales, the monks do it right.
