I thought the Yuengling Bock was alright and I kind of enjoyed the Conway's Irish Ale.

Had this last night. Description is spot on. Very smooth porter with a slight peppery aftertaste. I drank the whole thing in probably 5 minutes. Solid brew.

I need this. Love bourbon aged beers and love stouts. 14.5% ABV? that would be my highest beer ABV ever.gorocks99;1101035 wrote:Goose Island Bourbon County Stout tonight: http://www.gooseisland.com/pages/bourbon_county_stout/59.php

I do not like bourbon beers. Unless they are mixed with a vanilla porter.

Going to try Hoppin Frog tonight. I live in Akron and don't know how I haven't tried their beer yet. Anyon else have it?

Hey guys, I've tried a lot of beer brewed in Ohio, and by far the best I've had yet, hands down, is White Rajeh by The Brew Kettle (out of Strongsville).
In other IPA news, I'm going to try Avery's Maharajah Imperial IPA tonight. Supposed to be one of the best in the country.

I am big fan of BORIS, and the barrel aged BORIS is amazing (if you're willing to drop the cash).OneBuckeye;1103401 wrote:Just realized BoristheCurshers user ID? Are you a big fan or related to the brewery?

Looking at that makes me want to drink some tonight. Having Sierra Nevada Torpedo and Troegs Nugget Nectar now, but I've got Founders Breakfast Stout, Old Rasputin, and Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout all in the fridge now I can break out.Curly J;1103421 wrote:Alright Stout lovers in and around Cincy, How about Stoutfest --> allaboutstoutfest.com

I think I've got all hops in my fridge. Hopslam, Nugget Nectar, and White Rajah. I might have a Black Chocolate Stout buried somewhere in there. No matter as I know I do have an AleSmith Speedway Stout that I can drink room temp.

Yeah, I have one on my shelf that I'm just trying to hang on to for a while, but it's hard to not just open it when I'm in the mood wether it's cold or not.Curly J;1103477 wrote:No matter as I know I do have an AleSmith Speedway Stout that I can drink room temp.

BORIS was awesome. Lots of things going on good stuff. I also had the silk porter. A more straight forward beer. A very good porter. Also impressive was how good they were coming out of a bottle. I usually find micro brews more tasty on tap. Stone brews have some of the biggest difference for me there.

Okay how do you top BORIS ??? How about DORIS. Picked up a bottle of that and Hop Dam. First a Stone More Brown Than Black IPA. Nice pleasant citrus hops on the nose and a great has a nice hoppy finish. The color looks like a porter or more like a nut brown so it fools you when you look at it. I'm glad I have another bottle and my store has quite a few on the shelf, as I will be drinking more of this.

More Brown Than Black is one of the best beers I've ever had. I could drink it forever. Too bad it was a limited release.Curly J;1104150 wrote:Okay how do you top BORIS ??? How about DORIS. Jungle Jim's has quite a few bottles left. I'm not sure how many The Party Source has.
