Yes, at the Anderson's in Maumee three months ago.Mooney44Cards;1109946 wrote:Has anyone seen Three Floyds' Dreadnaught in Ohio lately? I see a lot of Three Floyds but no Dreadnaught.
Actually I heard that they actually pulled out of Ohio because they couldn't meet demand and anything thats on sale now is just remaining stock. Not sure if its true or not.

It was a sarcastic post to raw dawg's "your gay bc you like strawberry harvest" post.Sonofanump;1109938 wrote:Why the hate for The Anderson's? Where else can you find a Three Floyds bomber, a filet mignon, a garage door, A Milwaukee Sawzall, a yellow birch tree, and a freshly cooked Tony Packo’s double dog with the sauce?
I buy 75%-80% of my hard to get beers at The Anderson's in Maumee.

I'll check it out next time I'm in town. What landmarks is it near? It says strip mall. Is it near the old Foodtown plaza?BORIStheCrusher;1109950 wrote:I would recommend Marinos, although you have to be careful of the freshness with a lot of their stuff. Also check out the Beer and Wine cave on Heatherdowns and talk to Matt, he can hook you up with stuff.

Marinos is on Monroe right off the Alexis exit in the plaza where Buckeye/Wolverine and Tony Pacos is. Beer and Wine cave is connected to Meats and More in the plaza off Key/Heatherdowns.Sonofanump;1109957 wrote:I'll check it out next time I'm in town. What landmarks is it near? It says strip mall. Yeah, right across the street. The selection isn't huge, but the stuff they have is good. Matt is the guy who is always there and will give you tons of info, and if there is something you are looking for he can most likely order it for you and call you when he gets it in.Sonofanump;1109984 wrote:I'll put that on the list also, sounds like near the Distillary. There aren't too many I don't like, and I've been able to find beers I do from the styles I don't really care for. Don't really like Brown Ales but I love DFH Indian Brown Ale. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm going to get but just thought I'd see if some input from anybody that had something good recently would interest me.Mooney44Cards;1110024 wrote:What beer styles do u like?

If they have any Bell's Hopslam give that a shot, or Maharaja by Avery. They are very similar DIPAs.BORIStheCrusher;1110038 wrote:There aren't too many I don't like, and I've been able to find beers I do from the styles I don't really care for. Also if there's any left over More Brown Than Black by Stone, that stuff is excellent. And as was mentioned earlier White Rajah by The Brew Kettle.
If you can't tell I'm a huge IPA guy.

I'm an IPA guy as well. Maharaja is good; haven't had that in a while. I usually only get a 6 pack or two each year of Hopslam, I think it's a bit overrated. Good beer no doubt but I'm not gaga about it like everyone else, just don't think it's worth the price. I haven't had More Brown than Black yet, if I see it I might try that out. Can never go wrong with Stone.Mooney44Cards;1110060 wrote:If they have any Bell's Hopslam give that a shot, or Maharaja by Avery. They are very similar DIPAs.

Hey do any of you guys use any websites to keep track of your beers you've tried?
I just started using ratebeer.com about a month ago. I think you can like "friend" people on there, so if any of you guys also use that site, we should exchange usernames so we can see eachother's ratings.

I've been on beeradvocate.com for 3-4 years; I check out ratebeer every once and a while but not too often.Mooney44Cards;1110107 wrote:Hey do any of you guys use any websites to keep track of your beers you've tried?

Yeah, I don't actually pay attention to any ratings really, I only use the site to keep track of my beers and remember what I liked and what I didn't like. I usually try new beers by word of mouth or having it at a bar.
Besides, almost all of the highest rated beers are imperial stouts, which is far down on the list of beer styles I prefer so its not a very good method of me finding good beers to try.

This website is awesome http://www.hoperatives.com/
It regularly lists the beers available at all the growler stations in the greater Cincinnati area, and also has a good list of beer events, as well as bars and restaurants with good beer.

Do you ever go to the Oak Tavern? That's my favorite Oakley bar.

I was there the night of the NFC Championship game. Haven't been back since, but I'm also poor and have like zero disposable income so that might be why. But you can find me often at the Hyde Park Kroger in the beer section for long stretches wracking my brain about what to buy.justincredible;1110354 wrote:Do you ever go to the Oak Tavern?
